Use a standard fuel hose and it will stay round and not leak at the tank connection available at any farm store. What you have now is a problem waiting to happen.

Yes. The reason I chose clear was to be able to see the fuel.
try carefully heating up the tubing. it will help get the flat spots out
Make sure you have plenty of gas in the line when heating !
