Hi folks, csv files link (zip folder):

If you are using Postgresql,
Then directly import the database file .sql file. But if you're getting any error in album file then use the below query:
CREATE TABLE public.album2
(
album_id int8 PRIMARY KEY,
title character varying,
artist_id int8
);
- refresh database (now u can see album table there)
- Right click on the ablum table and select the Import/Export option
Then
select the album2.csv file (from your computer)
The file will be imported successfully 👍🏻
Similarly, you can do it for other files.
NOT USING POSTGRE SQL:
2. If using any other sql then,
Use csv files n create your own music database. And for album file, first copy n paste in a new csv file in your computer n then import it to sql. It will work ✌️

for those who are getting error in restoring the sql file. kindly do the following necessary changes in pgadmin 4 look for File>Preferences>Binary Paths> update the dir location to the C:\Program Files\postgreSQL\16\bin then save it then restore the SQL file.

For those having issues importing the Database file.sql file,
In PostgreSql,
File -> preferences
scroll down a bit
paths -> binary paths
For both server paths make sure your binary path is set:
For instance
EDB Advanced Server 16
I have set it to C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\16\bin
and then saved it

Hi Rishabh, I am writing this comment at the end of the video, this was my first Data Analytics Project and all I want to say is you're doing God's work out here. In the beginning I struggled a bit but as the video went by things became easier and I got the hang of it. @@payaltanty6440 hi..are you using MySQL..cause I used that so ..if u are then all you need to do is check for some sort of errors that are in the file..like contents were missing..once done with that ..u are good to go ..let me know again if you still faced the issue ..I will gladly help and once more thing as far i remember in first file only few rows were missing..so check that thoroughly

Just one thing - I was practicing this project following your video, in the advanced level, question 1, do you think there is something missing/correction needed? like how much each customer spent on the top artist instead of how much each customer spent on the artists? Let me know if I am wrong.. Thanks again for this portfolio project. :)
Yes that's exactly what we did. Cte query is for finding the artist name i.e. queen

Im mysql workbench I am able import all the table excep album.csv table
It's showing unhandled exception: 'charmap' codec can't decode byte 0*81 in position 6012: character maps to check the log for details
save that in csv (comma delimited) format it must be in csv UTF-8 (comma delimited)
Thanks Rishabh for such an amazing content. Your explainations are amazing. I have a problem in importing this database to mysql workbench. I am getting encoding error. I tried another way by first creating the database then created tables. But, when I started importing csv data files in mysql workbench using import wizard, it shows 0 rows imported. I tried using copy command that you mentioned in sql tutorial video, still no luck. How to import datacsv files into mysql workbench ?

You can't import postgresql dump files directly in mysql workbench. Either you have to re write the files because both have different syntaxes or you can import these files in postgresql. No other way! I had the same problem.

I have a doubt in (ADVANCE ques -1) the question says " amount spent by each customer on ARTISTS " but in the video in CTE you take LIMIT 1 which gives you the top artist only. why????

I have imported all the tables into the oracle database from csv file. But ,unable to load the constraints on table . so could you please share the create table scripts of all table , along with on which table , which type of constraints is there.

When using CSV files for the project then got a few of the data for answers different than what you have shown in the video. Like in the moderate section for question no. 2, I am getting AC/DC on top and only 8 rows are showing, using limit 10 at the end of the code is useless. Other than this rest is awesome. I admire you for your simplicity. I practice mySQL and your videos as PostgresSQL which makes it relatively difficult to grasp. I wanted to know how to import excel big sheets into SQL, because that excel has all data in one sheet and not multiple tables. I'm thinking of taking that as project and go ahead.

You explained in good way ,i found in Advanced query section last 2 question u solved by using Recursion (2nd method) but actually its not recursion function u simply used 2 temp table .u not even using correct recursion syntax.see i might be wrong ,just observed and i thought i should inform here

I did BULK INSERT data from csv file named customer.csv into Customer table, but it always had problem with SupportRepID INT ( with the error :"Bulk load data conversion error (type mismatch or invalid character for the specified codepage) for row 2, column 13 (SupportRepId)" ). But when i imported directly csv file into the database, then insert the data from it to customer table, it worked. So what's the problem?

Hi Rishab, in the easy question module instead of finding the sum and grouping it by billing city can we do this alternative:
Select Max(Total), billing city from invoice;
In just one line we get the ans. Please tell me if I am right or wrong. Ty
