Just what I needed to hear for my new adventure of learning SQL. Great job presenting it so clear like this. Subscribed and liked you, of course! looking to learn more from you. thanks!
Thanks a lot Agatha for sharing this, I'm currently learning SQL and these tips helped me so much especially the beginner, intermediate and the advanced section.
Hi everyone! It is helpful information for me! This is a great idea for using SQL in budget analysis for a beginner like me. Agatha, thank you so much!
Thanks for the encouraging video Agatha, i myself am on a journey of learning SQL through Data Camp and hoping it will help me with my career prospects. Coming from a non technical background, it has been a challenge in grasping and understanding SQL. Though after watching your video especially learning SQL with context opposed with Syntax, it has opened a new approach for my learning.
I've just found your channel recently. I found your advice extremely helpful for a fresh graduate like me. I major in statistics and think that I can go further as a data analyst. Keep it up, your content is great !
Great video. Thanks for the inspiration. I've learned SQL before but did not really delve into actual practice. But with your video, you've just encouraged me to pursue it. I guess, it's meant to stumble on your video today to urge me further as I've been contemplating to learn it further.
your smile and your advice both are really good that one released my stress and another clear my doubts and you actually gave the exact advice which i was looking for.
I’m soo happy I get to see your channel, this is helpful for someone like me who would like to transition to data analyst role. I just quit my job, and taking my time to concentrate on upskilling. I’ve been watching a lot of videos but it is somehow overwhelming, but your videos gave a me a guide to follow as my learning roadmap, and hopefully I can learn this easily same as you do. Btw do you have a video that will give us a sample view of what exactly are the usual analysis being done by someone in data analyst role position? Do you happen to have examples related to KPI analysis and reports? Thank you so much! I will surely check your other videos! 😊
Great video! Quick question, would a Business Analyst need beginner or an intermediate level of SQL? Data Analyst and Business Analyst often times overlap but I feel like it depends on the job description too.
I find its best to just keep going and the brain learns the connections of code.. learn to use documentation and these days AI.. and can do anything on the job.. the really good familiarity will build later.. but the important thing is being able to get the job done by any means at disposal.
Hey, I heard you can get SQL certification from Microsoft and the rest from Coursera. Getting certified is good but corporates focus more on the subject knowledge than the actual certification.
It’s actually useful, more useful than a lot of SQL videos out there bec she breaks down the skills and she also mentions what skill level is sufficient for a lot of roles. I have seen so many aspiring data analysts that just go straight to learning SQL and try to learn them all at once but as entry level, u actually only need beginner level to create your projects that will be included in your portfolio then to be job-ready, you need to have at least intermediate SQL. I am a supply chain data analyst and I only use intermediate level SQL bec our data engineers and other data people are usually the ones that require the advanced level. If you don’t know this, then you can easily get lost with all these SQL courses and practice tests online then u end up not using these advanced SQL skills in the job anyway. You’ll end up basically just wasting your time learning all these advanced SQL like performance tuning when u don’t even use them in your job bec it’s not your job to do it anyway but someone else’s.
I know you mean well ,but for the most part it's quite difficult to pay or invest in the courses , especially these paid ones . I'm african , which doesnt matter but as a young working adult or even a uni student it'll be very hard to gather the money for the payment of the data course. If there was a way to pay in installments it'll help significantly Imaging earning less than $150 and having to pay for a course when you also have a whole month ahead with no other source of income
Fair enough, but there are many great free hands-on websites that will train you in SQL without you installing anything on your computer. For example, W3Schools.
Structured Query Language (SQL) (pronounced S-Q-L; historically "sequel")[4][5] is a domain-specific language used to manage data, especially in a relational database management system (RDBMS). It is particularly useful in handling structured data, i.e., data incorporating relations among entities and variables.

Thank you, needed this. currently getting my butt kicked in data camp but just practicing and have faith in getting it with time
What part are you having a hard time with, I’m going through it too. Are you doing the SQL course or a different one?
A no nonsense approach 👌 Thanks!
Thank you for this video Agatha! Your videos are very beginner friendly and informative without talking over our heads.

Depends on what you need to use it for.
Hi, you recommended another source /course(careerfund) in your previous video. So which one should we prefer then?
Very helpful information Agatha
Agatha, do you require a video editor to edit your shorts content? It helps boost your channel.
Can you recommend a SQL course with a certification which is accepted by the industrie?
most company don't care about certification anymore
What certification would look best on a Resume for SQL?
I'd like to know that too
None

Does a person who knows sql have to be good with computers? And does everyone who know sql considered tech savy?
As someone who knows more than average about computers, no and no. However, you should learn about computers and database applications along the way.
i always struggle in solving intermediate and advance problems can you suggest something?
Can you start SQL course
hey Agatha thankyou for this video, could you please suggest me some SQL portfolio project which is more relevant to getting the job...

does college degree matter to get into tech as a fresher ?? especially in asian countries?, please answer this question
I know a friend that is going back get her degree in cs and she was offered an internship role
what minimum PC specs you recommend?
Use the hands-on websites and you don't have to install anything on your computer.
Hi, should I go for these certificates to learn about data analytics or learn separately like excel, sql, python and so on .

Okay, seen nothing but a simple select statement on the screen... Videos is clearly up for the DataCamp advertisement. Channel blocked for clickbait.
6:08 is a breakdown of the skill levels. You're welcome...

I Think SQL isn't Programing Language Right?!

@@MichaelKaplan-c2o i know but in video she said it's programing language. But SQL isn't you u can't use it to programing
It does have loops and functions.
