Can I just say the scene when the Doctor tells Lola was so stupid I speak from experience I had breast cancer 30 years ago and they don't just come into a general ward and tell you then just go away m you have a nurse for support mine was a Mcmillian nurse and the doctor tells you my husband can confirm this, in private my nurse was with me all the time. Do Eastenders not do research into this, very angry about this scene

i love lola so much. when it was announced she was dying my heart absolutely broke 💔 such an underrated character i love her to bits. danielle is an amazing actress❤️❤️❤️

Lola and jay have always made such a lovely couple her acting here was incredible the way she said the word cancer when the doctor said it to her and her voice breaking just heartbreaking i know its a drama and a soap and it has to be dramatic but you would think they would actually give some characters a happy ending ever now and then as soon as someone gets a bit of happiness it gets taken from them in such an awful way Danielle Harold a great actress her character does not deserve to be killed of

When Lola heard the word ‘cancer’, she slowly was breaking down into tears and she felt like she won’t make it… I’m absolutely broken when she spoke that word, I’m so sorry for her…

Makes us all realise that this can happen at anytime. Grab each day and be positive because none of us know. We get one life that's all we get. Lola is such a gem. She has been a good solid actress the whole way through. Her and jay make my heart melt. They have always been each others wing men. That what counts in real relationships. All the money in the world doesn't make people happy. It's the people we have in our lives that matter. Have people that bring out the best in you. I do think it's important to look at these story lines because it puts in perspective what is important.
Thank you for this. My dad has a brain tumour and has for the last 4 n a half years. Not enough awareness for these evil tumours. Biggest killer under 40 💔 thank you eastenders x
OMG WHY ARE YOU LYING?! Brain tumours are NOT the biggest killer of men under 40. It’s actually heart disease… and suicide is catching up. Brain tumours aren’t even in the top ten and it’s irresponsible to even suggest that it’s the leading cause of death in under 40s. Thankfully brain tumours are rare.

I literally rewatched the storyline when King Charles had his cancer diagnosis on the first anniversary of my illness (not cancer related) and I was really devastated after going through hell myself and it added more stress

The only "good" thing about Lola's storyline is people are finally gonna see Danielle Harold for the amazing actress she is (and hopefully it will bring Ben and Callum closer together even though it's not about them). But it's gonna be so heartbreaking to watch. I'm scared for Lexi, Billy, Jay, Ben and Callum but especially Lexi 💔

I shed a few tears at the end, mostly because the doctor showed no compassion towards Lola when delivering the devastating news. Her whole world has just come crashing down and you need amazing support from hospitals which they give. Keep battling, Lola. 😭😭😭😭

Doctors will deliver this type of news to others multiple times a day also with the current crisis that the NHS are in doctors can not sit around and talk to patients.
@@Jasmine.J1102 I understand your post. There should always be a counsellor on hand (maybe I was 'luckier') but hospitals are under the greatest strain that they've ever been. They're continuing to do an incredible job.

Beside well and wisely-written script for the drama part, the details of Lola’s illness are brilliantly portrayed by the actress who aces it and the information the crew pay attention to is very precise and accurate in medicine.
Kudos to Danielle and the crew for making it so real and relatable. 👍
The seizure beginning on the right hand to the right side of the body and to the whole body and the finding of the tumour at the location it’s supposed to be go with each other and can be explained logically.
The next step of telling the story is the treatment choices she’s going to have (awake craniotomy included) is very interesting and can be portrayed with lots of other aspects and drama. This storyline is huge and very interesting.
They deserved recognition for their perfect work, even though, it’s just only in the beginning of the arc.
For soap material, (no offense.. at all) this is best of the best! So feel for them.. so realistic😪 Brilliant acting!!

I was so hoping that Lola wasn’t being written out it’s so sad seeing that she has cancer just after everything was going well for her
Very good acting to such a sad story line. In November I was told that there were lesions on my brain, and that the doctors thought I had brain cancer. I had to have a brain biopsy. Turns out I have a brain infection but when they said its probably cancer I reacted in a very similar way, I had the same look of heartbreak in my eyes, same with my family. For such a sensitive topic it’s been handled really well.

You usually notice after having headaches or faints. I used to get headaches every week because I was going through depression but it got worse after I was ill in 2023 and then on the first anniversary of my illness, King Charles was diagnosed with cancer and this added to my depression
