You still have to slip past through Figure in order to complete the sets of switch in the control panel

I have thought of this strategy just never tested it out
I put a skeleton key in the rift which will give me the herb for the next run I purchase another key from the store after figure then go to the rooms with the herbs equipped
Get through a 1000 doors and hopefully get the xray vision thing then get to door 100 and try this strategy with a crucifix if figure chases me into the breaker room

You dont have to use a picklock to hide you can just hide Normaly and then go to the basement
