many thanks for the information contains in this video. one observation. You said you can not find a stopcock for the mains water. Could you have not installed one along with this repair ?

Hi please can I ask a question. Can this be done on lead pipe while live as obviously you can not use a pipe squeeze on lead.

I have a question. I have a pinhole leak in my mains lead water pipe. I will attempt to repair it by cutting and using this universal coupler to lead. Probably a silly question but do I need to use an insert on the lead pipe? Cheers in advance. Great video and very helpful.

Good video apart from the fact you didn't install the pipe inserts.

have you not forgot the inserts?

Manufacture recommends when using on the older imperial sizes (black pipe) that the inserts are not required. If you where using the newer blue metric pipe you should use the stiffener inserts.

You can get the one I have from ToolStation if you search Squeeze Off Tool. Pluming Suppliers will generally stock them or also lots available on Amazon.

why so much unnecessary work...use Plasson's sliding clutch another time.

Even smaller excavation of the hole.
