    I love those guys but personally I prefer them as the normal trio. I imagine their record company or manager suggested the backup keyboardist so the singer could move out front. Don’t try to make them traditional. They are not and that’s the appeal to a large degree. Jonah seems more relaxed and I think sounds better when he’s behind the keys.

    • @Bimbo_MN
      @Bimbo_MN 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Actually Jonah says he prefers having double keys so that he can go out in the audience, they still do it to this day!
      I think it’s better with 2 keys also cuz if you think about it, in the studio Jonah records his vocals all separately, and in the recordings they sound like a choir, but they can’t really do that live, so that’s why they have the backup keyboard guy to help out. It works honestly

    • @ellenstergaardgravesen1011
      @ellenstergaardgravesen1011 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They always have an extra keyboardist when they're playing live (seen them both in 2014 and 2023) - and it works perfectly.
