I thought I had used finger vibrato but some people will tell me I have a wrist vibrato. Maybe I subconsciously switched depending on how tense I was haha. I’m working on being able to change between finger and wrist along with different speeds. I tried arm a little bit but wasn’t sure if I was doing it right so I didn’t work on it too long
You are using ARM vibrato. The last joint of each finger bends with ANY vibrato (arm or wrist). When you actually demonstrate arm vibrato and distinguish it from what you caller finger vibrato, you are just using a longer throw of the arm.
Thank for sharing 🙏
You're welcome! :)

Is the thumb meant to stay on the violin because my vibrato sounds fine but I always lift my thumb of the violin is this a problem?
Yes, definitely want to have the thumb on the neck if the violin.
