I think you explained the differences between the three styles of collage very well. Again, I am in awe of your incredible talent. Thank you for making this video. It was informative and inspiring.

This is very helpful Eva! I always wondered what the difference was and you have explained it perfectly so thanks for that! I love the idea behind the Frankenstein pages and can see myself using up all my scrapes after each project to make these! So excited!

It’s all collage. The word literally means gluing. Just use your things the way you want to use them and don’t worry about names.

Franken paper was a new one for me so thank you for sharing. My understanding of a master board is just that MASTER board. You create it so you can make copies to use in your work. You take a photo and print it basically. Creating your own printables. That way you always have the master.

I didn't know that about the Masterboard, just read in other comments. It's great to have this info as I never thought about scan my pieces. It perfect for these I like and wanna keep. Thank you so much for advice! 💖🤩

Oh Eva! These are beautiful, each and every one. I have done all of these techniques but never put them together. I have made all three types of papers but didn't understand the difference in the names, just figured everyone had different names and techniques. I particularly LOVE your master board with the paint and noisy brayer - mine is noisy too - and the fabric. You've given me so many wonderful ideas, thank you. And yes, isn't Marta wonderful? I've been following her for years.
Love you and I thank you for researching this for us. From the Southern California desert, MK 😁❤🏜

Got it. 1) FP is double sided - useful for double-sided journal pages... 2) CS is single sided - useful for pockets, etc. 3) MB is single sided containing many mixed media components (fabric, paint, paste, and more) - useful for frames, ATCs etc. Great explanations and demos. tfs!

I enjoy learning something every day, such as yesterday, when I discovered another sunflower growing where I had cut the only flower I thought I was getting! Not so! Such fun! So, I'd never heard of a Franken board, but it might be my favorite because when you used a die cut you got scraggily threads. I love that! This was fun. Thank you ! Joyce :)

I enjoyed your explanation of the 3 forms of college. I learned something and I especially enjoyed the franken paper.
One thing I would add to the collective knowledge of a master board is this; Once you have made a master it can be copied on a large printer copier and be reused many times in your pieces. The master board remains intact.
Of course the textures are muted in a copy and it may not be your goal to lose them so you cut up the master.
On the other hand, a copy of a good "piece" is satisfying to use or have on hand. Just saying.
You are and amazing artist. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

The main difference between master board and collage paper is the concept taken from professional design of a 'master' work that you would usually keep. You may scan a copy of the final product to use again and again but you keep your master. It's been somewhat retranslated in the paper arts world though. Lovely examples.❤️

    Hello Eva,
Thanks for the video. The frames are gorgeous.😍I had understood that the franken paper is the one that is joined with adhesive tape, staples etc. It is the same thing that you have done but instead of sticking it only with glue, it is also by sewing it, staples and others, just like the pieces of Frankenstein´s monster😜, that's where the name comes from. This is the meaning that one day I also found through google. Big hug for you.
