- In this video I replace the battery in my 2002 Firebird Trans-AM.
Due to a mic malfunction there is no audio so I put it to music and there are on screen instructions. Enjoy! If you have any questions or comments - please leave them below!
Hold down bolt size = 13mm
Battery terminals bolt size = 8mm
Great video!!! You did an awesome job showing tools needed and slowly completing the task. Music was a bonus
Thanks 👍
Great video; thank you fine sir
Very welcome
@HyperXprojects THANK YOU for posting this video!! How does it only have 32 Likes!!! This was fantastic. Today I am about to attempt to replace the battery on my dad's 1997 Pontiac Firebird, so that I can sell it. He's out of commish healthwise, so it's up to me to get it done. When I asked him to talk me through it from his wheelchair, he said he doesn't believe I can do it. WATCH ME!!! (fingers crossed!) Will head over to Napa to get a new battery. @HyperXprojects QUESTION: Think the process is the same on a 1997 Firebird battery? I guess we'll see. Also, anybody in the Chicago area want to buy a 1997 Pontiac Firebird (160K miles)? Reply!
I'm sure that you can get it done! Good luck and hope you find a buyer!
Same goes for my 89
Thanks for posting this. What size is the hold down bracket bolt? Thans.
Hold down bolt size = 13mm
Battery terminals bolt size = 8mm
They should have been on screen. Sorry about that!
Circus circus.. lmao
Why not just dip the end of the hold down bolt into the grease instead of taking 5 minutes to wipe it on with a paper towel?
Stupid.
NOBODY puts dielectric grease on battery cable bolts; not even Pontiac.
And you forgot to mention the battery type/size, genius.
Jeez. What a weird comment to leave for such a nice video.
