What makes Vikram and Kaithi good is Lokesh's excellent direction & writing of criminal underworld. Most indian movies depict gangs in over the top manner while Lokesh has this proper method of setting up the story which mostly seems realistic. On top of that, the cinematography and dark theme direction was excellent. Best of all, is the brilliant actors' skills that were very well potrayed in both Kaithi and Vikram. If you ask me, he is the only director in India who has figured out how to make a proper crime/drama movie for the Indian audience.
No offense to Ajay Devgan, but I genuinely don't want to see Kaithi's remake. Cause after Bhola, they would make Vikram's another version and this movie is already at its best, No other can justify with the acting of Kamal Hasan, Fahad Fasil and Vijay Sethupati and last but not the least Surya as Rolex.

Fahadh fasil name has a Gun as he is the head for his boys and himself he won't take anyone's command
Kamal Hassan name also have Gun he also the same head of his crew
But Vijay sethupathy name has bullets which signifies him as just a tool driven by suriya that is Vijay sethupathy was a bullet belongs to the pistol suriya

RRR got all this hype because of its promotions and all, but if you notice that RRR was based on Indian history where Britishers took over India and that's why it became famous all over the world BUT if we talk about Vikram, we'll find that it's based on some real questions in India and about a real problem of this world. Hats off to the writing of Lokesh Kanganraj to make it realistic and Hats off to the Indian military and Black squad, these people really put their life in great danger for Indian people.
That's why in my opinion Vikram was better than any other action movie of 2022.
