Terminator is SUCH A GOOD MOVIE
Props to stan Winston the mechanics of the T800 have always impressed me since I was a kid but it was something about the stop motion that made it look way more cooler
I just love these behind the scenes videos. It's so impressive watching how professionals work with this kind of effects. I'm currently working on my own 3D printed full sized T-800 so this is great inspiration. Thanks for the video.

I've always wondered why terminators look like skeleton but now I know why: in terminator 2, the t 800 said that the terminators (including skynet) has human anatomy meaning they know everything about humans including human emotions. Skynet creating a whole fleet of walking metal skeletons with glowing red eyes so that they can strike fear in the human resistance....
It would be really creepy that in the future AI really becomes hostile and really built Terminator and using Arnold's data scan which It based on this Terminator film

As much as I love this new redesign, I have to say, that the Stan Winston design in some ways is better because its more simple, due to how advanced it is

They finally fixed the neck piston placement. In the previous versions they were sticking out so much that imagining skin over the T800 would have made Arnold have a neck wider than his head.

Yup, is a shame, all the technical job was phenomenal, they were even lucky to still have assets from past films from over 20 years ago in order to make a great job and the producers/director screwed it up big time with a non-sense movie, it's just a damn shame, I even feel bad for these folks.
Yep. I'm a massive fan of the Terminator movies, but Terminator Genisys is the only movie I don't count as part of the franchise and it's the only one I won't be buying (I have many versions of most of the other films). It was mostly like a big budget fan film.

Wish you hadn't bothered. The changes were too small for the casual audience to notice, and too major to not piss off the hardcore fans. The Cyberdyne logo chest is too on the nose and makes no sense in-universe, and the arms are now too bulky to fit within even Arnold's flesh. Total waste of time. Even worse, they used it again for Dark Fate, which is meant to be the original timeline!
The best is the first one. More mean looking too.

this making of a terminator is beutiful to see though I wish they stayed with the original chest piece for the terminator in the attack Skynet scene so it would be historicaly acuart❤❤

там добавляли эффект старины и поношености(пыль, грязь и так далее). Плюс оттенок был темный. Тут все гладенько и чистенько и отполировано

Потому что мы привыкли ко второй части. Там и натуральный эндоскелет, когда он появляется в фильме. И терминатор Т-1000 смотрится круто ведь это один из первых фильмов, где используется новая технология. То есть в то время это выглядело очень круто и реально впечатляло. А вот сейчас сложно удивить классной компьютерной графикой ведь это стало обычным делом. А вот Кэмерон в своих старых фильмах использовал это по минимуму и что-то делал в миниатюре. Можно вспомнить сцены из будущего в первых двух частях терма. Натурально снято...

The balance isn't there.. the exoskeleton would have to weight exactly like a human and the movements
as fluid to reposition when off balance. It's achievable.. with a better pneumatic system, which means
an android MUCH MORE BULKIER. Like the T-600.. which is even more terrifying imo.

Why didn't they stick to the older design of the T-800 chassis? It was perfect. The newer one is more like the T-850 with the triangular shaped breastplate and angular ribcage.
