Outlandien ist ein Feldstation für netzferne Künstler, ein Baumhaus, das von Die Künstler London Fieldworks (Bruce Gilchrist & Jo Joelson), die von Malcolm Fraser Architects entworfen und 2010 vom lokalen Bauunternehmer Norman Clark mit ursprünglicher Finanzierung von der Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation und dem Scottish Arts Council gebaut wurden. Es befindet sich in einem Copee von Norwegian Spruce und Larch in Glen Nevis auf Forestry Commission landet am Fuße Ben Nevis in der Schotten Highlands, etwa drei Meilen von der Stadt Fort William entfernt. Outlandia ist ein von Künstlern geführtes Projekt, das als Mehrzweckplattform für den Einsatz diverser Community-Gruppen sowie ausgewählter Künstler. Es ist einperformative Architektur-definiert durch die Aktivitäten derer, die sich dafür einsetzen - die Insassen eintauchen lassen in einem bestimmten Umfeld, das kreative Interaktionen zwischen Künstler und Land. Auf unserer Wanderung in Fort William in Schottland entdeckten wir diesen schönen Holzbohlen Pfad zur Outlandia Wald - Hütte.
Outlandien is a field station for off-grid artists, a treehouse created by Artists London Fieldworks (Bruce Gilchrist & Jo Joelson), designed by Malcolm Fraser Architects and built in 2010 by local developer Norman Clark with original funding from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Scottish Arts Council were built. It is located in a copee of Norwegian Spruce and Larch in Glen Nevis on Forestry Commission lands at the foot of Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands, about three miles from the town of Fort William. Outlandia is an artist-led project that serves as a multi-purpose platform for the use of diverse community groups as well as selected artists.
