Hi Car Dekho! Is buying the diesel variant a good choice given the fact that BS6 fuel is gonna be used from 2020.. It has also been said that using BS6 fuel in a BS4 engine would affect the engine in long term although that's not gonna be the case with petrol engine... Your valuable opinions please!

And if you want nothing more than a relaxing drive to work and back, this old-school AT won’t let you complain. While it isn’t snap-your-finger quick in terms of responsiveness, it gets the job done if you drive with a light foot. The auto box tends to upshift early (usually under 2000rpm), and you’re in top gear before you know it. Do take the test drive today to experience the ease and comfort offered.

A question to Cardekho... "Would the Ciaz have been worth with a 5 speed Amt rather than the 4 speed automatic ?" In my opinion..No...as Torque Converter is a superior technology than Amt.. But waiting for your answer ..
+Biswajit Majumder No. As you rightly said, the torque converter is far superior. In fact, we have no real complaints with the gearbox. It's smooth, and gear shifts are quick too. The only downside is that it doesn't like being rushed. But, in that aspect, an AMT wouldn't have fared better.

It is just our perception that Maruti Suzuki makes Tin Cans. Gone those days. Now MSIL is giving us good cars. However one cannot compare this with VW. Thats a tradeoff again. Ciaz Service cost would be around 10K and VW will be 25K.
I don't know why people still call MS cars tin cans. Agreed their crumble zones are a little too soft. But the older gen ciaz had a 4 star rating on the global NCAP. It had 2 stars for child safety probably due to the lack of ISOFIX mounts in that variant. But the new one has them and is waiting for its test.
