Arjen brought her to the Netherlands to sing a part on the Ayreon album The Human Equation, and was so taken with her voice he wrote some songs with her in mind and put together the band Stream of Passion. Floors Sister Irene, is on the Song "Eye of Ra" from the Concert, it is the last song (or 2nd last) of that Concert. You'll notice that Irene is just as tall as Floor, and you' can see that they are related (I'm not just talking about the height). And even though Irene is a talented singer, my understanding is that she chose familiy life over the touring life as a musican.
All three of these ladies are wonderful. Floor and Anneke are right at the top of my list of female singers. However, Marcela is also right up there and I dont think she gets enough credit in this song for how she harmonizes with both Floor and Anneke.

The Star One version is acoustic, similar to the Electric Castle one, the Stream of Passion is a rock version with full band and Marcela on violin, too. While I very like everything from Areon Universe, regarding this particular song and Day Eleven. Love i consider Stream of passion's performances as the best ones.

This song is from the album Into the Electric Castle. Eight people from different timelines end up in a world where time and space do not play a role. A strange voice instructs them to reach and discover the Electric Castle from within. The album opens with a voice from the sky announcing to the eight characters (the Highlander, the Hippie, the Futureman, the Indian, the Egyptian, the Barbarian, the Knight, and the Roman) that they have been taken to the "cranial vistas of psychogenesis," a mysterious non-place in a non-time. The voice commands the eight to seek out and enter the Electric Castle, and warns that they will be challenged with puzzles and tests of mettle. Many of the eight believe they have all been taken to the afterlife (a demon-created realm, a "dark and evil jest," Avalon, the great hall of Isis and Osiris, or the underworld). The Highlander voices concern that they will be lost, since none of them can recognise the constellations. However, the group takes flight into the cosmic realm, the Barbarian shouting of his courage and battle-worthiness and the exhilarated Hippie delighting at the marvels as they do so. The Futureman, unsettled because even his advanced learning cannot explain what has happened, ruminates about the nature of their mystic surroundings, concluding that they must be trapped in a cyberworld; the Knight, confused by the Futureman's speech, repeats his conviction that they are in Avalon, the isle of spirits, on a quest for the Holy Grail. Despite the others' warnings, she is swept up by the wind, believing she will be taken to the sun and her soul made one with the universe. The wind is revealed to be Death itself, and the Indian is cast into oblivion, screaming as she dies. The travellers, now five, continue to find themselves in the Mirror Maze, a world in which each of them must confront their ego-self. The Hippie is shown reflections of scenes from his childhood and adolescence while the Futureman contemplates the nature of fear and how humans bury it and their traumatic pasts inside themselves. The Roman shows signs that he has given up hope, but the Knight steels his resolve and breaks through the mirror, freeing them all to pass through. The travellers witness a vision of the future - a strange cyber brain which the Futureman calls a mutation of the human race - and are then presented with two gates by the voice from the skies. One is old and battered and the other golden, and one leads to freedom while the other leads to Oblivion. The Barbarian boldly strides through the golden gate, only to be cast into Oblivion and die; the final travellers successfully pass through the other gate. Before they return to their homes, the voice of Forever of the Stars explains that their ordeal has been part of an experiment for the Forever race to rediscover their lost emotions. Forever of the Stars tells the final four travellers that they will not remember their experience. When they awaken in their respective times and places, the Hippie believes he was on a particularly convincing psychedelic trip, the Futureman believes his memory has been wiped, the Roman thinks himself reborn, and the Knight thinks he has found the grail within a dream. A fading voice asks them to all remember Forever.

As others have said, Anneke is the beautiful voice in the middle. She is quite accomplished and part of Floor's early influences. Others have covered everything so I won't repeat. Just a quick note, Irene and Floor have been involved with Arjen for decades. He is so talented and clearly a genuine guy as he just collects talent... This song was sang by Anneke alone on the album, as part of her character ' The Egyptian' That whole album was done live in the Ayreon live show 'Into the Electric castle and other tales' .That show is even bigger! The Ayreon story line has many side stories. Was "Everybody dies" located in the very far past, this song is in the future when the Alphans, who have become immortal and now are called the Forever, arrange a contest of recreated characters from the human past on Earth. The sequence is called "Into the Electric Castle" and spans another double CD. The regenerated characters are a Barbarian, a Roman, a Knight, a Highlander, a Hippie and a Futureman as males, and an Indian and an Egyptian who are females. Four of these eight perish in the contest, and the Egyptian, played by Anneke, is one of them. The world she encounters after her resurrection is so disappointing that she only wants to die... The Electric Castle is a separate adventure, later included in the Ayreon timeline, it has the message that the Forever by their immortality have lost the way to create emotions, and to regain them they created (!) humanity in the far past. This is one of the few occasions the Arjen himself appears playing the Hippie (one of the survivers..).
The twists and shifts are, to me, one of the most enjoyable aspects of the whole interconnected universe Arjen has authored through the vast majority of the Ayreon works. The enormous scope, while highlighting deep interpersonal and social realities, is truly impressive and completely captivating!

What's there to say about Anneke? Some say she is the Mother of Dutch Female Metal Vocalists. Was kicking ass back in the mid 90's with the Gathering. She has evolved so beautifully as a singer - maybe not as highly trained and skilled as Floor - but she stands her ground. Heck, one might even argue she paved it.

Anastasia; what you express about the chameleon of Floor is exact; By no means the greatest example of this is his interpretation of "Ghost Love Score", making one of the best symphonic metal compositions of all time even more epic and wonderful.

The original version was a solo song by Anneke (blond singer). I expect that they came up with the harmonies on their own. Anneke, Floor and Simone often callobarate with Ayreon songs. Same is with a number of male vocalists. Fyi, I believe that the concert was done over 2 days
So as others have already said the middle singer is Anneke (The Gathering, The Gentle Storm, VUUR & multiple Arjen & Devin Townsend Colabs) & Marcela (Stream of Passion, The Gentle Storm, VUUR, MaYaN & Arjen & Mark Jansen colabs) is on the right as you look at the stage. Anneke has had a huge influence on the evolution of Dutch & other European metal in the last two decades. Marcela was hand picked by Arjen for a roll in The Human Equation and has worked on many of his projects since then. She is also heavily involved with Mark Jansen's bands as a backing vocalist for Epica and a more prominent roll in MaYaN. I believe this song was originally written for Stream of Passion with Marcela singing lead and her twin sister Diana on harmony. Later It was done by another Arjen project The Gentle Storm with Anneke on lead & Marcela on harmony. Lastly it was brought out for this Ayreon Universe live show. If you want to see Floor & Irene together check out The Eye of Ra form this show, or After Forever's Who I Am (Irene was at some of the live performance though I do not believe she is on the album). Alternatively you could check out Northward's Drifting Islands. I don't think there is a music video or live performance of this one so it will be audio only but it is interesting in that their voices are very distinct when they are singing alone, but when they harmonize they blend together so well my ear can not tell them apart.

She also sings with Devin Townsend a lot. (not sure if you're familiare) Anneke is considered the godmother of the Dutch/European female-fronted metal scene. Regarding the harmonies (mentioned at the end), if I recall correctly the Behind the Scenes video of this show, Arjen has done them in cooperation with the keyboardist Joost van den Broek, who is Arjen's collaborator and had a huge part in preparing the show (and not just this one, but other Ayreon shows too). Actually, I do not recall how the studio version sounds, I guess there were some harmonies there too, so Joost maybe just arranged the song for the gig.

Floor and Anneke are my absolute favorite singers. Arjen brought her to the Netherlands to sing a part on the Ayreon album The Human Equation, and was so taken with her voice he wrote some songs with her in mind and put together the band Stream of Passion. Today she sings for the band maYan.

Floors Sister Irene, is on the Song "Eye of Ra" from the Concert, it is the last song (or 2nd last) of that Concert. You'll notice that Irene is just as tall as Floor, and you' can see that they are related (I'm not just talking about the height). And even though Irene is a talented singer, my understanding is that she chose familiy life over the touring life as a musican.
Irene is slightly taller than Floor.
Marcela's sustained high note harmonics in this piece are downright beautiful.
All three of these ladies are wonderful. Floor and Anneke are right at the top of my list of female singers.
However, Marcela is also right up there and I dont think she gets enough credit in this song for how she harmonizes with both Floor and Anneke.

@@jackstorm5649 I think the very first version was on the Electric Castle album, sung by Anneke, then the Star One, "Live on Earth" in 2003, and in 2006 the Stream Of Passion "Live in the real world" one. The Star One version is acoustic, similar to the Electric Castle one, the Stream of Passion is a rock version with full band and Marcela on violin, too. You can find both version on youtube (along with the full concerts).

On the album, this is a solo song for Anneke, with lots of overdubs of course. They rearranged it for three singers here. I imagine that Marcella Bovio did the vocal arrangement here since she's professional at that.

This song is from the album Into the Electric Castle. Eight people from different timelines end up in a world where time and space do not play a role. A strange voice instructs them to reach and discover the Electric Castle from within.
The album opens with a voice from the sky announcing to the eight characters (the Highlander, the Hippie, the Futureman, the Indian, the Egyptian, the Barbarian, the Knight, and the Roman) that they have been taken to the "cranial vistas of psychogenesis," a mysterious non-place in a non-time. The voice commands the eight to seek out and enter the Electric Castle, and warns that they will be challenged with puzzles and tests of mettle.
Many of the eight believe they have all been taken to the afterlife (a demon-created realm, a "dark and evil jest," Avalon, the great hall of Isis and Osiris, or the underworld). The Highlander voices concern that they will be lost, since none of them can recognise the constellations. However, the group takes flight into the cosmic realm, the Barbarian shouting of his courage and battle-worthiness and the exhilarated Hippie delighting at the marvels as they do so.
The Futureman, unsettled because even his advanced learning cannot explain what has happened, ruminates about the nature of their mystic surroundings, concluding that they must be trapped in a cyberworld; the Knight, confused by the Futureman's speech, repeats his conviction that they are in Avalon, the isle of spirits, on a quest for the Holy Grail. The Roman rejects both of these explanations, fearing they are in the underworld and should seek to escape to Elysium.
At last, the eight arrive before the Decision Tree, where they are praised for their fortitude but also told that one of them must die before they continue. The Barbarian and the Highlander boast to each other of their accomplishments in battle, and both deny that they will be the ones to die. However, the Highlander's prediction does not play out. He loses his will to go on, lies down, and dies, just as the others leap into the Tunnel of Light, believing themselves now to be entering heaven. Before they reach the Electric Castle, they must cross the Rainbow Bridge, which spans a sea of tears and fiery brine.
The Rainbow Bridge leads the seven travellers to the Garden of Emotions, which stands before the Electric Castle. The Hippie calls the Garden "groovy," but the Egyptian senses that Amon-ra has chosen to seal her fate and end her life there. The Roman and the Barbarian contend for leadership of the group, becoming enraged and fighting before the Futureman realises that the Garden is amplifying their emotions, warning everyone that they must control their aggression. The Indian, meanwhile, prophesies that voices in the sky shall destroy their souls. The Egyptian finds her spirit broken in the Garden, and, overwhelmed by her emotions, lies down to die in the same manner as the Highlander.
The remaining travellers finally enter the Electric Castle, finding themselves in the great hall. There they are tested by the Gathering of the Spirits, as the killers among them (the Knight and the Barbarian) are tormented by the incarnate spirits of those they have killed. They survive, and climb the stairs to the Tower of Hope, still full of wonder about their dreamlike journey. At the pinnacle of the Tower, a breeze draws the attention of the Indian. Despite the others' warnings, she is swept up by the wind, believing she will be taken to the sun and her soul made one with the universe. The wind is revealed to be Death itself, and the Indian is cast into oblivion, screaming as she dies.
The travellers, now five, continue to find themselves in the Mirror Maze, a world in which each of them must confront their ego-self. The Hippie is shown reflections of scenes from his childhood and adolescence while the Futureman contemplates the nature of fear and how humans bury it and their traumatic pasts inside themselves. The Roman shows signs that he has given up hope, but the Knight steels his resolve and breaks through the mirror, freeing them all to pass through. The travellers witness a vision of the future - a strange cyber brain which the Futureman calls a mutation of the human race - and are then presented with two gates by the voice from the skies. One is old and battered and the other golden, and one leads to freedom while the other leads to Oblivion. The Barbarian boldly strides through the golden gate, only to be cast into Oblivion and die; the final travellers successfully pass through the other gate. Before they return to their homes, the voice of Forever of the Stars explains that their ordeal has been part of an experiment for the Forever race to rediscover their lost emotions.
Forever of the Stars tells the final four travellers that they will not remember their experience. When they awaken in their respective times and places, the Hippie believes he was on a particularly convincing psychedelic trip, the Futureman believes his memory has been wiped, the Roman thinks himself reborn, and the Knight thinks he has found the grail within a dream. A fading voice asks them to all remember Forever.

As others have said, Anneke is the beautiful voice in the middle. She is quite accomplished and part of Floor's early influences. Others have covered everything so I won't repeat. Just a quick note, Irene and Floor have been involved with Arjen for decades. He is so talented and clearly a genuine guy as he just collects talent... Mind blowing talent to go with compositional masterpieces.
The red-haired singer is Marcela Bovio from MaYaN and to me the hero of this performance, as she superbly adapted her backup vocals to both Floor and Anneke.

This song was sang by Anneke alone on the album, as part of her character ' The Egyptian' That whole album was done live in the Ayreon live show 'Into the Electric castle and other tales' .That show is even bigger! The Ayreon story line has many side stories. Was "Everybody dies" located in the very far past, this song is in the future when the Alphans, who have become immortal and now are called the Forever, arrange a contest of recreated characters from the human past on Earth. The sequence is called "Into the Electric Castle" and spans another double CD. The regenerated characters are a Barbarian, a Roman, a Knight, a Highlander, a Hippie and a Futureman as males, and an Indian and an Egyptian who are females. Four of these eight perish in the contest, and the Egyptian, played by Anneke, is one of them. The world she encounters after her resurrection is so disappointing that she only wants to die... The Electric Castle is a separate adventure, later included in the Ayreon timeline, it has the message that the Forever by their immortality have lost the way to create emotions, and to regain them they created (!) humanity in the far past. This is one of the few occasions the Arjen himself appears playing the Hippie (one of the survivers..).
The twists and shifts are, to me, one of the most enjoyable aspects of the whole interconnected universe Arjen has authored through the vast majority of the Ayreon works. The enormous scope, while highlighting deep interpersonal and social realities, is truly impressive and completely captivating!

What's there to say about Anneke? Some say she is the Mother of Dutch Female Metal Vocalists. Was kicking ass back in the mid 90's with the Gathering. She has evolved so beautifully as a singer - maybe not as highly trained and skilled as Floor - but she stands her ground. Heck, one might even argue she paved it.

Anneke Van Giersbergen (Woman in the middle) is basically "The Grande Dame" of metal music in The Netherlands. She has a very unique tonal quality to her voice and is definitely Not a screamer. Then again, there's still so much Nightwish (The Poet And The Pendulum and The Greatest Show On Earth live at Tampere are the big ones) and Floor solo in De Beste Zangers 2019 and on her youtube channel.
Anastasia; what you express about the chameleon of Floor is exact; By no means the greatest example of this is his interpretation of "Ghost Love Score", making one of the best symphonic metal compositions of all time even more epic and wonderful.

So as others have already said the middle singer is Anneke (The Gathering, The Gentle Storm, VUUR & multiple Arjen & Devin Townsend Colabs) & Marcela (Stream of Passion, The Gentle Storm, VUUR, MaYaN & Arjen & Mark Jansen colabs) is on the right as you look at the stage. Anneke has had a huge influence on the evolution of Dutch & other European metal in the last two decades. Marcela was hand picked by Arjen for a roll in The Human Equation and has worked on many of his projects since then. She is also heavily involved with Mark Jansen's bands as a backing vocalist for Epica and a more prominent roll in MaYaN. I believe this song was originally written for Stream of Passion with Marcela singing lead and her twin sister Diana on harmony. Later It was done by another Arjen project The Gentle Storm with Anneke on lead & Marcela on harmony. Lastly it was brought out for this Ayreon Universe live show. If you want to see Floor & Irene together check out The Eye of Ra form this show, or After Forever's Who I Am (Irene was at some of the live performance though I do not believe she is on the album). Alternatively you could check out Northward's Drifting Islands. I don't think there is a music video or live performance of this one so it will be audio only but it is interesting in that their voices are very distinct when they are singing alone, but when they harmonize they blend together so well my ear can not tell them apart.

She's one of the OGs (Original Goddesses) of the subgenres that include Floor and Simone Simons and Liv Kristene, et al.

Regarding the harmonies (mentioned at the end), if I recall correctly the Behind the Scenes video of this show, Arjen has done them in cooperation with the keyboardist Joost van den Broek, who is Arjen's collaborator and had a huge part in preparing the show (and not just this one, but other Ayreon shows too). Actually, I do not recall how the studio version sounds, I guess there were some harmonies there too, so Joost maybe just arranged the song for the gig.
