Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Cupra Leon 2020

- Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole.
a far-side impact test, the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated by two dummies in the front.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

If the Leon Cupra is identical to the normal Leon, why does EuroNCAP test them both?
If you read the quote that is on the 0:05, you would see that they study the structures of both vehicles, and they found them identical, and for that reason, they put the video of the SEAT that was already tested
@@Phyz7 Hi, the seats we tested are the seats of the Cupra. Therefore you will see in the assessment that the Cupra has lost one percent in comparison to the SEAT Leon for Adult Occupant.
@@4lifers481 not as much of a market for smaller cars over there i guess, so selling a car like this without the brand recognition of the big brands like Ford and VW (even if this is heavily based on a golf) won't make enough money to justify all the cost and resources needed to import them over from Germany to the USA

My family has had a Taracco (the big version of the car in the vid pretty much) for 2 years and it's been flawless, durable too as it shrugged off a hit from a deer that ran into the road with only a cracked piece of wheel arch trim
The "constructive" noice as the proper brand says is an horror for all customers that bought it. 3:34 and all brakings at 4:00 all that rattle or bell noice!!!!!!
