Between the bad pitch and then the interception may have gotten a little overconfident. It’s great to see though as that overconfidence has been sorely lacking at the QB position since Reesing. It was fun to watch them deliver a beatdown. Just feel like Leipold has led a culture change with KU football.
07 was that crazy season in CFB, USF was #2 that year, I don't see a repeat of that season ever happening again so good luck outside of basketball lol
I had the sense they came out a bit unfocused in the 2nd half due to such an obvious mismatch. They half-assed a few plays and it resulted in an embarrassing interception to wake them up.
They put Neal back in to get them back on track and he busted out the 80 yard touchdown run.

@@BillyBassBen we’re still not “good” temper expectations Tennessee Tech went 1-11 last year in the FCS a level below us. We beat the Kansas of FCS basically but we did it convincingly. 3-4 wins this year is all we should be expecting and then 5-6 next year.
Last year was an improvement over the Les Miles Era. This year is an improvement over last year. I see at least 5 wins.

Longhorn fan here…. I’m telling y’all now, the Big 12 better beware of Kansas. It’s not just that they won big. It’s how they did it. Big play after big play. Offense looks crisp. They have an established QB. And the defense looks way more athletic than last year.

Obviously it was a fun win, and shows Kansas will still be in the game late into the fourth quarter against most teams on their schedule, but we will see if they have the heart to pull out those types of games. Still the athletisisim of the team looks very good.

Central Michigan isn’t a FCS team they are a FBS team that went 9-3 last year. Tennessee Tech is a FCS team that went 1-11 last year we basically beat the Kansas of the FCS….but we did do it convincingly so it’s still a positive.

Don't know if this will be the year or not, but Leipold has Kansas on the way back to respectability. Yes, it's an FCS team, but Kansas did what a team from a Power 5 conference should do to an FCS team.

FCS is still D1 and like someone else said we beat Texas and barely lost to OU last season so hopefully we can still compete.
We beat Texas last year, almost beat Ou, Wvu, and Tcu. Ku’s put on a lot of mass especially on defense, they’re faster, and have had a full off season with Lance. They had two months with him before last year. Kansas has a top 25 transfer portal group on the field this season and it’s showing. Oh and we has the wrong quarterback starting for most of last year. Kansas is a different team, period.
Any Power 5 team worth their salt should crush an FCS opponent. Good on Kansas taking care of business
