    New to you, from Studio Nora. Love your podcast. I usually don’t walk away with ideas of things I’d actually make myself, but I got a TON of ideas from this podcast. I kept pausing and going to Ravelry to find the patterns and then Webs to find yarn. Definitely have a sweater, cowl, hat, and mitts planned now. That’s a LOT for me. I’m slow. I’ve been accumulating minis and am thinking of making the Potter Advent Blanket by LJ Stone.

Of course, I haven’t knit it yet. I’m still on a sock kick. I’m making V is for Valentine socks right now. Getting ready to start the heel. The Crazy Sock Lady, and I think Knitty Natty does scrappy projects, as well. The Bakery Bears also has done a podcast on scrappy blankets. I loved this episode Amber. I especially love the sweater portion and how you went into detail about the yarns you used and how they are holding up. I'm just getting into knitting sweaters and I am finding that I'm moving away from the superwash wools and loving the non-superwash as they seem to be more of a workhorse and don't pill as easily and keep me more warm. I love the look of small dyer yarns though but I think I'm going to keep those for shawls instead.
    Your episode also makes me want to cast on the Felix sweater.. It keeps coming up and calling my name.. so I may run to my yarn show and pick up that berocco yarn you mentioned in the near future :)
    Warmly,

      @@alovelyyarn i totally get it. I'm almost done with the body of the Corolla sweater but lost steam because i started it before I found my love for nonsuperwash and I used Berroco wool dk. Oh well I'm going to be mature about it and just finish it up because I do love it and I'll just use a de-piller when needed. Then as a reward I'll be casting on the felix.. hopefully in a couple weeks if I stay diligent.

    That was such a lovely episode. I love your birch yarn sweater, looks so soft and cozy.
    I would like to make it too but to be honest I am very hesitant to buy any pattern from Petite knits as I have heard few times ( you are not the first one mentioning it) that her pattern - writing is rather bad ( compared to others ). I am a novice knitter and I fear getting a pattern with not clear enough instructions would be waste. Was No thrills overly complicated ( apart from confusion with GSR)?

    • @alovelyyarn
      @alovelyyarn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! No I don't remember the whole pattern being confusing, just the part with the short rows or the raglan increasing. I honestly can't remember exactly. To be honest, there are probably other, very similar patterns that might be more clearly written. I've seen them on ravelry but I don't know the exact pattern names. Maybe do a ravelry search for basic raglan sweater or classic raglan sweater.
      Thanks for watching!

      Yes, I believe so. I've never looked at the Musselburgh hat pattern, but I've had other viewers mention the similarity. I bought the Christopher Hat pattern years ago. It's written for worsted weight yarn so I just adapt it for different weights when I need to rather than buy a new pattern.
