Might have to use a GM hydroboost setup to clear the valve cover. Works with your factory power steering pump in a series circuit, you can just tee in a return. Will give you more braking power with a cam that doesnt pull as much vacuum as factory. Looking forward to watching the build!
So happy for you Paul! Glad it worked out with Nick and Jim from Jamsi! I look forward to the next videos in this build and seeing you drive that Badass PowerWagon! Much love to the fam!
Jim and Nick are great guys. You guys have a great time and get that old girl running. On my 390 stroker build I ran stock distributor gear they didn't last very long The brass gears didn't last very long. So Comp Cam told me to buy a brand new distributor gear send it to them they'll do a hardening process on it and Paul that's worked for quite a while.
I would recommend lake speed for your oil sample. The reason why he will let you communicate on the phone and ask the right questions. One thing he's going to see is brass if you're running that fuel pump push rod and that's going to be confusing to him so the more communication you give him the better the sample.
I have it playing on the TV and I just paused it after the explanation of altitudes and loss. I had to use a little trick on one of my engine's to save the distributor and cam gears after wasting out two . Holley sniper fuel injection is supposed to be awesome. Happy for you buddy
Happy Days. That engine is a work of art; it took a long time to accomplish. They had other work going on also and if they put in a lot of special parts they must be delivered. They get started on other jobs while waiting for those parts. Gotta finish those jobs. O'Reilly doesn't have billet cams on their shelves for that engine... Near as I can tell, the only thing you did wrong was going snowboarding. You should have gone sledding or trout fishing.
As far as the left valve cover clearance it might be a good idea to go with a smaller brake booster. I hope that engine makes enough vacuum to properly run a brake booster if not that's something you're going to have to deal with.
#1 Congrats on getting your Engine "Every time Ya Work on a Vehicle it's a Can of Worms" But We Do It Anyway! When I put a '65 428 in my '56 4x4 the '56 bell-housing & 5 spd Trans fits up to a '59 Engine Block The top 2 bolts didn't line up, I wanted to keep the '56's 450 New Process 5 spd in it (In first gear it walks itself out and climes up most terrains, & knocks over trees in it's way) I brazed the last 2 spots in place, If I need to, I can cut it and remove the bell-housing "It has held up for more then 50 years!" I'd say - It Worked and Tested - Okay! "As We Know" - Ripping them apart is easy - Putting everything back on - "Not So Much Fun" (I do hope you post the Battle for Everyone to see) Best Wishes in the revival of The Machine! thx Guys
Watching the new video right now I’m excited to see it in the truck. I was thinking since you’re gonna be putting it back into the truck are you upgrading the transmission?
You bought the Red Harbor Freight Crane & so did I To make mine better I bought longer steel for the legs & boom Now I can Lift more and reach Farther then Factory made (A Tip so Ya don't need to buy another)
General rule is the more cubic inches, the more fuel it burns. I would go with the Slant-6 225 cu inch, if I could find one. Otherwise you won't be able to leave the house without an extra $100 bill 😳
"It's Hot Rod Stuff!"
Very cool, gonna be epic!
can't wait to see that engine back in your truck
Paul no doubt you are much more excited about this engine. Yet, I am pretty excited about this. All the best.

As another mutual subscriber, I’ve loved watching this build. Can’t wait to see this truck back together!

Jim is so awesome (as is Nic)!

500 Horsepower!!!! Nice
The amount of variables you run into will amaze you.
Наконец-то вернулся домой!)

Use a Hydro Power Hydraulic Brake Booster. That should give you plenty of clearance.
Awesome Outstanding job thanks
Thanks Paul =)
Nice video!!!!

This will be great :)
Danner going to be roasting tires😮
My wife is still mad at me for the amount of money I put in that 390 stroker. And looking back I wish I would have just left everything stock.

thx Guys
To think you could’ve rented a Power Wagon to drive your Power Wagon engine home! You must be over the moon to have that eng8ne back home!

I have an NP435 4-Speed and from what I hear it will be perfectly fine. My chain driven NP208 transfer case may be another story
You didn’t show the part when you broke a sweat by paying them! 😁
No surprises with any of that 🙂
It’s just money, we’ll make more tomorrow 🤣
Would be neat to see a CarbCheater on the engine. Maybe not for long term, more of a review and promotion....
thats engine is goog for speed boat
Melonized distributor gear is much more street friendly than bronze. ;)

Then it would be a No Power Wagon lol
How much did it come in at price
You can't put a price on it. This was done in part as a collaboration between two different channels
Could you turn on the Russian translator on your premium channel?
I think you should couple this amazing engine to a just as amazing transmission.
