Ya got lucky with that plastic carb those jets usually plug up with junk and you have to pull them out and split them to get them clean enough to run, did 3 at work today. Briggs calls them fuel modules, I call them a pain.
For your 1/4dr green handle spinner. Go to your local Napa and buy a $8 1/4dr spinner handle (handled extension) I found one and it changed my life I now have a few and a few in 3/8dr and they make working on stuff way more time efficient.
Pull the internal out of the metal housing on the 675 series flathead (Quantum), slotted screw in center and repair the rewind spring. It rusted and snapped towards the end, be careful its gonna wanna fly out of their and unwind all over the place. Cut the end piece off where it rotted, make a bend and stick it back thru the slot. Lubricate it well and put the internal back in the metal housing of the recoil, screw the center slotted screw back in to the center. Thats it, it will work. That OHV recoil wouldn't have worked anyway. Tecumseh parts don't swap to Briggs. The recoils with rivets can be drilled out and replaced with nuts and bolts for ease of access on personal equipment.

That yard machines, cub cadet, Troy -bilt, and Robomow are all part of the MTD company. So the front and rear tires should work along with the height adjustment.
