    The Adventure show for adults, no getting bogged doing stupid shit, no forced drama and no flogging brands. Just a well planned and we'll executed trip.
    Thank you.

      Thanks for watching.. I normally try not to bet bogged, and try no to have too much drama. These are just videos of my trip. If I did get bogged I would have videoed it as it happened.. No extra drama :)

    I lived in Norseman for a while (1992-4) and used the Lake King track several times in my sedan (Commodore) to go to Bunbury region. Was quite passable then but reportedly deteriorated somewhat after that. Looked quite good in your video. The tanks out there are the same as the tanks that used to exist out across the Nullarbor at frequent intervals (not manyu left now) to provide emergency water and shelter for travellers in the remote regions. Of the ones remaining which I have checked out, none of them now have water, but most are in better condition than the one you showed, as far as overhead cover is concerned.

    Awesome vid mate!! Really enjoyed it. the bike opens up so many options! Israelite feels bloody remote not been there for about 10 years but we camped in the main hut there and it’s pretty comfortable for the location. Not surprised you came across lots of water on the Norse-LK road we came down cascade road the other day and water was over the road in some spots.

    I've got a Loadstar trailer I bought years ago. It's been dragged around Aus, across Aus, Cape York, I don't know how many Fraser and Moreton Island trips, too many dirt bike trips to remember, hauling crap around in general. It's been a beast. I put a Tregg Hitch on mine though.

    Great work mate, enjoyed watching this...no crap, no stupid behavior and good sensible driving. Planning to head out there in the next few weeks. Mate interested to know how the trailer went? Did it cause you any dramas? Was there any points from Fisheries rd to Point Culver that were touch n go for taking a trailer? Im only planning to take my trailer to even the load on the car and have a bit more balance of room instead of loading everything into the car. I have camped with the trailer many times and i just love that it gives you a bit of practical storage off the ground at camp and can be used as a table, carry a bit of fire wood etc etc... do you recommend taking a trailer out there??

    • @jjsadv
      @jjsadv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will have no problems with a trailer. Just take it slowly over the rocky areas.. It was dry when I went. When its rained you can see it gets very muddy, so that may change things.. But should be no issue with a trailer.

    Obviously a latecomer to this video. I used to do the same trip but in reverse 20 to 25 years ago before the bushfire razed the escarpment. There was no conveyor belt then and it could be a real challenge getting back up if the beach was too soft or the tide too high to run back to Israelite. The Mallee camp was a lot thicker scrub back then and made a good wind break, there was an old Morris or Hillman there. I haven't been there for nearly 10 years now and this has me frothing for another trip. If you take the Quad on your next trip there scoot up to Toolina Cove for a look, the turn-off is on the right on your way out, you can run straight to the highway from there it's actually a better track that the one in just the 10 km across the top of the scarp is murder

    Another excellent video JJ, I enjoyed quite a few of your dirt bike forays also, but bugger me dead if your trip isn,t what I had planned for last year, unable to do due to covid , planning on this year now. I am also taking a quad just for the fishing and save on wear and tear on vehicle and my knee's. Your camp at Culver, is it reasonably protected from the Bight's "breeze"??

    • @jjsadv
      @jjsadv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was from the south, but we ended up with a couple of day with a strong northerly, that gave the camp a bit of a hammering.

    2 years ago you did a video on hand winch. My question is won't you need to engage the parking brake if an auto and won't the vehicle be in gear when parked? What about slopes? If park brake is applied how will it move forward (or backward)

    • @jjsadv
      @jjsadv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Obviously you don't have the park brake on, and you have it in neutral, and you do whatever you can to make it work...
      It's amazing what you can get to work when you have no other option but to find some way.
