I'm a huge warhammer fan both fantasy and 40K, I love the universe and lore of the setting. Im currently working on my art portfolio after dropping out of art school to pursue a career as a graphic novel artist, writer and concept artist.
You would not believe how helpful your videos are for my sketchbook, I used to build every drawing up in my mind that it had to be complete, it had to be perfect. But now Im actually having fun by letting go of all that
I've been following your content for quire a few days, and the scribble and stain thumbnail lessons have inspired my drawing prowess again. I'm currently working on a space saga.
I love your art and I have found you very helpful in my art journey. I am working in my last year in school trying to get a high grade in art to pursue an art career in concept art for games and movies. I would just like to thank you for teaching me all sort of skills and techniques outside of school love your art style and the things what inspire us.
I’m hoping to get back into the swing of daily drawing, but I love watching your videos, even just having them on in the background, I find them very relaxing.
Funnily enough - you mentioned Warhammer and also asked what we're working on. One of my current art pieces in progress is of a Salamander Space Marine!
You're so quick to get some shapes that are pleasing and getting a cohesive design, gj. I've been working on studying some dystopian/brutalist/dirty architecture to try and create a good scenery to (what will be) my comic. Texturing buildings and finding some sort of style for furniture or integrating vegetation in an urban setting is a bit complicated, but there are a lot of great artists that do it, so I'm confident that it won't be too hard :) Thanks for the vid
This is insane! The first dude reminds me of a guy in Painkiller and the other monster reminds me so much of a thing from Doom. Man i love this way of creating!
This reminds me of Iain McCaig’s Queen Amidala concept work-especially when you started with the orange. Thanks for the reminder to play when sketching. Appreciate it!
Thank you for the video! Right now im finishing up extra christmas presents! I take this month off of art classes to focus on personal work and put my teaching into my work. Recently now I struggle to find a certain process I enjoy when doing these works! I think i may consider art process and art style almost the same thing for me, I struggle with both aha but Im enjoying myself
Your videos are awesome man. I love to see my progress and improvement in quality of my thumbnails. Now Im working on spaceships. Also picked up digital landscape painting as a new hobby and I love it. Maybe ill be able to combine these two into something cool. Anyways thank you for making these drawing sessions they really help and I wish you happy holidays ❤
currently drawing my brand new character Kurtt Pierce after watching your video on stiff postures. It helped a bit, but i'll need to practice lol. really trying to expand my art from head/bust shots so trying a fullbody is a nice change of pace. having fun drawing too. haven't done that in a while since i had a pretty bad art block episode (about a year)

I've been trying to get back into sketching and so far I've just been working on simple shapes. I've also tried some of your exercises with starting from blobs made with markers and then details added on top. A found those really good to relax the mind and just draw something. Also, you mentioned Warhammer and I've been on and off into Warhammer since i was a kid in the late 90's. My most recent foray into Warhammer was back in 2019 when I actually finished painting some models and played a few games with a friend. I'd love to see you do some Warhammer stuff. And was the other one you said Doom? That would be awesome too. :)
Contra is one of the first games I remember playing, we have a decent amount of NES games somewhere.. I'm working on trying to apply the technique you had shown to thumbnail spaceships, which is similar to a class I had bought on gumroad some time ago for coming up with mech designs. I want to put those in a video game, but I'm in that phase where I struggle with artwork and programming even though I know I can do it from experience. I've done both in the past.
Hello, have you ever made a tutorial video of a landscape having a old monument or temple at a far distance in the forest and a cliff on the left while a big portion of the right side cover with a tree and a path going to that temple through the forest?
You like the same two Mortal Kombat characters I did, Baraka in MK2 and Kabal in MK3 --- they're both pretty sweet in MK11 also. Love your videos by the way. I'm reasonably happy with how my drawing skills are coming along, although I'm hopeless when it comes to colouring - just can't wrap my head around it the way other people seem to be able to. But drawing cool creatures and stuff, that's right up my alley, especially the more Lovecraftian kind.
4:25 don't worry about that stuff lmao. I'm 15 and I know who those characters are. Admittedly, I'm more into fighting games than the average joe might be, but still. Those characters are iconic lmao.
Great analysis, thank you! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Im an art teacher for K-5 and 8-12 drawing elective. I'm currently working on character designs for a kids picture book. Fantasy themed. What tips do you have for kids book character designs? :D we all know how you feel about cute designs lol
I don't know if you'll read this, but I struggle with this type of sketching- I NEED to know what I'm doing before i sit down and get a pen. How can i change that? I want to be better at concept design and thumbnails, i just struggle with sketching freely
NGL, was interested to watch, but just had the vid played in the background while I just sketch some digital art. Gotta say, why don't we get an hour long or 2 of you just sketching, talking about a potential/hypothetical District 9 universe with a few sketches of creatures if you would have direct it, for fun? I'd be down for that! :) At the moment, had an idea to draw character/creatures for the Swordtember 2024 prompts I did. I wanted to do it earlier, but my mind keeps seeing other artist's competed render work and go, "Man, how do they have their brain wrap around THAT?!" and makes me not motivated because it becomes a "Learning session" rather than a "drawing session"... blegh. lol And *raises hands* 90s kid here, but hell yeah, Contra 3, that side scrolling into the top-down view, that was the shit! lol xP Merry Christmas to you and all who read this!
