Hi there! I enjoyed your video! As a fellow DMSC mate, I wanted to give you a heads up and let you know that RED does support RAW compression :) it helps extend recording times and helps with editing as well. I shoot 18:1 when shooting casually, and 5:1 or better when on a paid gig. Enjoy!

Yes sir im aware. I didn't mention that in this video but have in previous videos. Even with compression options it only shoots RAW but yes you can do lesser RAW.

Hi, I'm searching online this answer but can't seem to find anywhere. Just got a Scarlet X, it came without the top fan (it does have the front fan). Does that mean I'll fry the camera? Can it tolerate use without the top fan? (moderate use, about 5-6 hours on per day) PS: I think I just asked the same question on an older video :)

Hello, I have a question. I own a Scarlet for quite a good time now but I never bought the side handle with redvolts. I'm looking to buy a side handle because I want to shoot more handheld and I think I found a side handle for a good price. But as you said the redvolt batteries by this time would be obsolete. My question is if I can use the camera with an empty side handle and would still the buttons or screen in the handle would work, powered by the big battery in the back. Or are there any options that would work on the side handle that are not redvolts? Tha KS in advance!

Great question! So the side handle DOES NOT NEED a red volt battery to work. Mine stays empty and the handles buttons and functions still work. thank god becasue that would suck i had to have one of those stupid batteries in the camera at all times.

Is there any system you would suggest for someone just starting out and looking to start maybe wedding videos, school sports.

Is it true that these cameras are a bit unreliable? Like something going wrong at the wrong time?

@@epochfilmandphoto i've seen too many photos with errors so i've been wondering is that common. I've grown to love the mysterium-x sensors look. Reminds me of the EOS M sensor somewhat

It is pronounced "Ee-Pock" not "Eh-Pick" just for future reference 😊

No sir this has been my families companies name for over 25 years. This is where i tak a stand. Do your research..
The word "Epoch" is traditionally pronounced "EP-ock" (with a short "e" sound at the beginning and emphasis on the first syllable). However, in some contexts or informal usage, it’s also pronounced "EP-ic", especially when used creatively or for branding purposes. Here's why both pronunciations can work:
      1. Traditional Pronunciation: "EP-ock"
The word "Epoch" originates from Greek and means a significant period or moment in time, often marking an era or milestone.
The standard pronunciation emphasizes the "ock" sound, aligning with its historical and dictionary definition.
      2. Creative or Phonetic Pronunciation: "EP-ic"
The pronunciation "EP-ic" is phonetically close to "Epic," which carries a connotation of something grand, heroic, or monumental.
Brands like yours (Epoch Creative) might lean into this pronunciation for a modern or aspirational feel, emphasizing the significance of the work as "epic moments."
This creative twist can make the name feel more dynamic and relatable, appealing to a broader audience.
      3. The Flexibility of Language
English is full of words with multiple acceptable pronunciations based on regional accents, personal style, or context.
Using "EP-ic" as an alternative pronunciation for "Epoch" adds versatility, making it both a nod to its historical significance and a branding opportunity to convey creativity and impact.
By embracing both pronunciations, "Epoch" can represent both the timeless importance of moments (traditional "EP-ock") and the epic creativity your brand brings to the table ("EP-ic").
