The sad aftermath of another destructive typhoon. The really sad part this is showing some of the more affluent areas of Manila area where homes are "better" constructed. The majority of Filipinos do not live in these areas. My wife + children live in Montalban Rizal along with her family members. Thankfully she lives up on the mountain but those in the town below lost everything as flooding reached the roof tops. Much the same happened anywhere along the Marakina and Pasig rivers. Unable to get there or bring them here because of covid + no this leaves me and so many others feeling useless EXCEPT for the power of PRAYER and our ability to help where we can.

You're looking at the homes of wealthy Filipinos... who only need to worry about replacing drywall and furniture in the bottom floor. The toll in rural areas is much more devastating.

Antipolo has parts which are in the lower areas, before the mountain area. Just after Marikina, along Sumulong Hghway, is lower Antipolo.

The dams were on spilling point so they got no other choice but to release the water and open the spillways which caused floods like this on more provinces such as in Northern Luzon. 😞

Whoever you are,maybe you weren't experienced a super typhoon in your life that is why you don't know how strong the amount of rain it pours, that they have to open 4 dams simultaneous because of too much water, and so the results are flooding. Aside of the fact, that area which is East of Manila is a very low lying city. FYI. I hope it won't happen to you. Lol
Our civil engineering is one of the finest in the world fyi. There are a lot of civil engineers hired across the globe because of their quality.
