- Muay Chaiya is a Muay Boran style from South Thailand, one of the four famous Regional Styles, and the most popular nowadays. Muay Thai Chaiya has a fascinating history and unique features, it has only one Fundamental Technique, and it is said that all the other techniques come from the latter.

Can you make a video on different gyms that focus on different styles? I want to go to Thailand next year for 6 months, I wanted isaan (udon thani) but am open to other places. Studying thai now as well

you should go over different ways to use this guard to regular combos 112, 123, 132 , 123 low kick. Also an explanation on its round kick and teep would be great
My masters trained in Muay Chaiya and mixed it with other styles, but I've never trained under a Chaiya Master, and I bet they won't be happy if I start talking specifically about it, so I won't.
However, this guard is used in other Muay Boran styles and has a flaw; it makes you too passive, I talk about this problem in my video "Triangular Guard - Modern Muay Boran".
In my style it is used as a defensive guard and you transition into it at the right moment, I recommend you to check out the video if you didn't already 🙏

Well, if Muay Boran is properly trained you will only need to study BJJ to be able to compete in MMA. I don't think I will make a specific video on it but I'll give you a longer answer in my next Q&A 🙏

Grand Master Marco De Cesaris wrote a lot of books on Muay Boran (Traditional Muay Thai), both in English and Italian, search his name on Amazon and check them out!

Would you please make a video about " tum tab jab hak " ทุ่ม ทับ จับ หัก compare to bjj please ? , I think many people dosen't already know that Muay Boran also do break joints , and can also protect our self from bjj grapplers ?

Muay Boran, when trained right (by removing the impractical techniques, the wrong trained methods, and by prioritizing effectiveness) can act as a foundation for self-defense, but it is not enough on its own.
Independently of the martial art you are practicing, you need a master specialized in self-defense that understands the complexities of the topic, the dynamics behind it, and has concrete and solid skills. There are few people with these qualities.

Yes! In Muay Boran it is generally used for military purposes and is not aimed at stopping the blood flow and making the opponent pass out, but it is aimed at stopping the air flow, possibly crushing the trachea, and killing the enemy through suffocation. There is also the classic one that blocks the blood flow.

I have a question why do muay boran fighters fight so explosively in demonstration and in real life but some muay boran fighters fight with less movement less strikes and play mostly defense.
Demonstrations are just for entertainment, rarely they do resemble a real fight. For the rest, I would need more details regarding the fight, as the strategies change according to the opponent and the practitioner; maybe in the case you mentioned they had a specific strategy in mind and focused on defense.
