Nice Mate, I'm an oldschool BBoy, started Muay Thai 2003 after herniated disc on windmill 90. So nice to see other BBoys discover this art. Living the respect thing is similar to our culture. There are some overlaps in lifestyle between breaking and muay thai. I think it goes well together and is also the perfect complement, without muay thai I would have had to stop dancing years ago, I'm 45 now. Glad you have these opportunstes like TH-cam nowadays. I hope your channel keeps growing. Wish you all the best. Subscribed & greetz from North Germany
I started learning Muay Chaiya and Muay Thai at the same time in Mexico under a retired professional Mexican Muay Thai fighter. He said something like "All good Muay Chaiya fighters are good Muay Thai fighters but not all good Muay thai fighters are good Muay Chaiya fighters". Muay Chaiya is harder in a lot of ways and although I agree that some of it is a bit outdated, some of it really is a gem that can only help a fighter. One of the biggest advantages that Muay Chaiya gives a fighter is the ability to fight in both traditional and southpaw guards. The 12 basic begginer level combos all flow from one guard to the other constantly. If it hurts the opponent every time they try to hit you and you can fight in whatever stance you happen to be in, that will really mess with some people's heads. I'm now in Argentina training only Muay Thai and in free sparring I'm constantly catching people off guard with Muay Chiaya based tech. One of the main focuses in Chaiya is something like what most would call counter attacks. The reason I'm not calling what Muay Chaiya does "countering" is because it almost needs its own word since it is more than what most people would think of when saying the word countering. As an example, I know 108 basic "counters" that I learned from Muay Chaiya and of those I'd say something like 60 or almost unique to Muay Chaiya and work on untrained and high level fighters.
Thanks for the share my g! I agree a lot, especially after experiencing it first hand! Got a lot to work on but looking forward to using it more and also learning the other styles of the nation!
love your content bro, I am currently training for my first fight in november! Even though my content is mostly nightlife related, I would love to drop by sometime and make a training vlog with you if interested :D
you said in another video (i dont remember which) that you lived off $400 per day or something like that. might have been your q&a. will you elaborate in a future vid? I want to come to Thailand and know what to expect on said budget. 🙏🏾 and thanks
Hi Torell, Im planning on starting travel vlogging when i head to Thailand. I have a go pro, mavic mini, i also was thinking of getting the sony sv vlog camera? What do you use? Thanks
Lol! Kru Leg challenged me to a fight. When I accepted his challenge, he chicken out and made excuses, conditions. Remember he challenged me and wanted to fight under his condition. He was at least 5 years younger, and had weight advantage > 10 kilograms. What a hoax.
