  • Before you buy your RUPES polisher, you NEED to watch this. Dylan Von Kleist explains the differences between the Bigfoot LHR 15 Mark ll and the LHR 21 Mark ll. In which one was specifically designed for the detailing market.
    It goes without saying that RUPES polishers are a popular tool in the detailing industry. They have an arsenal of premium Italian polishers and pneumatic tools that pack some serious power. However, one major question when looking at the RUPES Bigfoot is, do I get the LHR 15ES, the Mark 2 over the ES, or go big with the LHR 21 Mark 2, etc. The possibilities are endless. Therefore Dylan gives us a breakdown of the ES vs the Mark ll as well as the LHR15 vs the LHR21. The LHR 15 was actually designed as a detailing tool, whereas the 21 is actually found more in bodyshops. Either way, both of these tools do a GREAT job in correcting paint and removing scratches and swirls with their DA orbital function. The only real difference is that the 21 covers more area, where the 15 can get through curved areas easier.
    Do you own one of these tools? Chime in and give us your thoughts on the 15 vs the 21!

    I got a couple of the 15s
    Man they are like a Cadillac of polishing tools!!!
    Levi mentioned about a messy shop with the long cords.....
    I spent a little more and got the extra long cord with the machine, and wow I barley even need my extension cords for the polishing anymore.
    Now on all future orders of any machines I "WILL" be getting the longer cord!!!
    How nice it is
    Great video gentleman!!!

    The old Man would use Turtlewax Paste in one hand- in 80 degree direct sunlight with a Bottle of Piels in the other hand.
    Things have come a long way since then. Thanks for the video Guys...

    i wish somebody would offer incentives for purchasing multiple machines at once. I want a LHR 15 Mark II, LHR75E, and the ibrid mini kit. its just a lot of money to dish out and not get some sort of discount or anything. maybe throw in the Bigfoot bag and apron or knock off $100

    A brilliant video. I'm a flex guy mostly but I love the thinking that went into the entire system. A 125mm pad usually corrects the same working area faster. However what would the gloss difference be between a 15 and 21mm if the same pad and polish and technique was the same.

    After heavy cutting with 7 inch rotary, which DA would be more suitable for finishing 21 or 15 mm?

    21mk2 works amazingly well with 5" bp and then there is Kamikaze beast. I also disagree and think that 21 beats 15 in correction ability and 15 beats Duetto, i have all three machines and have done side by side tests.

      jtm1979 What is your opinion on 15 Mark II vs Duetto? I’m looking for my first polisher as a beginner and couldn’t afford to buy one of them & a Rupes Mini at the moment

    • @jtm1979
      @jtm1979 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe you should consider Duetto and Kamikaze Beast 3" backing plate if you want just one machine. 15 mk2 and Duetto are both great, but i like 15 MK2 overall, however the Duetto is an amazing tool, just remember to do a washer mod.

    I’m about to purchase the Bigfoot 15 to use on my 2017 black Tesla S. Which compounds and pads should I buy for mostly swirls and water marks? Green and yellow only? Then which wax to finish?

    Can I use the Rupes for everyday buffing in a body shop? I want to use it for compounding and polishing . How practical is it speed wise compared to a rotary as far as buffing out sanding scratches?

    • @NextLevelAutoDetail
      @NextLevelAutoDetail 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Young the body shop guys can have mixed reviews with the Rupes DAs.
      The best advice is to use the rotary for heavy scratch removal and use the rupes to finish.
      Not that the rupes can not remove the scratches. It just takes a little longer than a rotary tool.
      So the rotary cuts excellent doesn’t finish so well. While the rupes cuts very good and also finishes excellent.

      I have the washer on my 21. If you are doing it just spend the money and get it from Kevin brown at buffdaddy.com he can back you up. There has been this whole thing going around that it can void warranty.... it won't... he's talked to the high ups at rupes and they guaranteed him that it won't

    Flex tools cords are rubbish , far too thin and I've had to run Makita rotary ones on them as I have long cords and the mak ones are thicker and never die
