    I have made peanut butter with this machine using the smoothie bowl container and followed their recipe and it made excellent peanut butter. I do use the blender to knead bread and also slice veggies. I do like the fact that the container’s plastic does not absorb odors so if I’m shredding veggies, even onions, all I have to do is rinse the container out and it doesn’t retain odors.

    Very informative and helped me decide between the Ninja Professional & Foodi Ultimate. I am downsizing and love the idea of potentially replacing my stand mixer, blender, mini chopper/processor, and maybe even my coffee grinder into an all-in-one system that will take up a lot less space in my new smaller kitchen. Also loved your sound effects, lol!

    • @JoesPhenomenal

    Ninja blenders are hard to resist buying bcuz they look so impressive and high end. But I gave them up for a Vitamix with no regrets. I have one Ninja blender left, the one that only works with cups. I love that one for very small mixing jobs and how cool it looks on the countertop.

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Definitely they have the aesthetics for sure. Lots of functions for the price, too. The nicer Vitamix blenders can withstand a nuclear bomb though, I think.. And they have the best warranties I've ever seen for a small kitchen appliance! Definitely plenty to love, there.

    Hi Joe, great video, thanks for taking the time to review this Ninja system. I will use your affiliate link to buy it; however, I have one concern. Amazon complaints include the loud noise this system makes and I notice that no review videos actually have the volume of the machine playing while blending (something that would be helpful to include). Can you comment on how loud this blender is when in use? thanks

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hey, David! Thanks for checking out the video! The Ninja blenders are by no means quiet, but that really a byproduct of a powerful motor. The vitamix stuff is probably about 15% louder than theses are, but in any case, I've never felt like it was obscene or anything. A lot of those complaints come from people that are coming from lower power machines... to put it in perspective, it's a little louder than you average vacuum cleaner. The problem with putting the noise lvl in the video (at least what I've experienced) is that the volume difference between that and my voice is big enough to where when I edit, it pushed my voice volume way down, so i have to raise it back up, and then it causes audio clipping... so i have to hard limit the decibels to compensate, and they makes it sound less loud vs. my voice.... that and different peoples listening preferences and setups change how it sounds.... However to put in in perspective, the average blender makes about 80db, while Ninja's top out around 88 to 90 db.... 90 decibels is about what you get from a hair dryer. Hope that helps!

      Costco is not the same model number as your review...it looked the same but the power of the motor was different....you have to read all the fine print

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@blacina9036 It should be the same power ratings... some stores advertise the peak power and some advertise the sustained power though... which is confusing. The costco model has a different model number for sure, but that's par for the course with just about everything at costco.. They get special bundles whether it be extra stuff in the box, or different colors, or whatever. If I remember correctly, the Costco version has the same power numbers, the same bundle, and the same sizes for the single serve and smoothie bowl cups, but I think the base is a different color? WHen they were carrying the power blender bundle before, they included a larger smoothie bowl cup than the standard one. In any case, I always liked getting stuff over there if for anything else, they have a crazy good return policy if anything weird happens. That price they have it for right now is AMAZING.

      That's what I do in the ultimate system mostly too. I defintely recommend it, and it's good to have the other features for when you need them. You can save a little money with the of the personal sized single serve blenders, though. I am actually reocording an unboxing and working on a review for the Nutribullet Pro. Hello Joe,
    Could you please let me know the best grinder to make Indian Dish Dosa Batter ? I know its tough... but i have a small kitchen. Please... help, as i don't know these watts, voltage, HP etc., men's stuff 😅 By the way... as per this video, which is better, as per many comments ? could you send me the name of the set which you recommend in this video ? Thanks 🙏

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a tough one for me, since I've never made Dosa Batter. How much do you plan on grinding all at once? Since those seeds are small, the bigger blenders won't do a good job unless there is enough in there to reach the blades well. If it's small quantity, the smaller blenders might be a good idea.

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't have a KitchenAid mixer and you don't do a ton of baking, it does the job just fine. Also, if you have a very small kitchen and no space for a bunch of appliances, it really is a great option. For me, I feel like the actual mixer has more utility though... and larger capacity. Sure does clean up easy, though! The ultimate system has a different base. You can only use those extra attachments on the new base, because the regular power blender doesn't have the buttons. It physically fits on there, but that's about it... that was the first thing I tried!

    I got a question for you! I have a Nutribullet, and mold/fungus started growing in the base between the plastic and the gasket. I cant remove it however (its not intended to be removed), and there's no way to clean that part. Can I disassemble the jug on this blender and make sure everything is clean?
    Also, do you think that this would be okay for making daily smoothies with rolled oats, peanut butter, and flax seed? Or should I go with a Vitamix (is that cleanable...?)

      Heya TM! Appreciate the sub and kind words! The pitcher on the only had one area that can really get moisture buildup. That is inside the handle. You can definitely get water in there if you submerge it or clean it in the dishwasher since it's not designed to seal water tight. If you flip the pitcher over there are 2 Phillips head screws in there that whne removed, allow you to disassemble the handle and get in there.... There are some plastic control arms it it though, so you would need to be really careful ful with that..... Also you don't wanna strip those screw holes, either. I just clean mine by putting some warm water and detergent into the pitcher and blending it once on the smoothie setting. Super easy, and it comes out clean. That will clean the blades nicely too in most cases so you can avoid touching those as they can be a little dangerous. That's how I do it and I never get any water in the handle. Hope that helps!

      Heya.. According to Ninja, you can. However, I never put anything with plastic parts in my dishwasher. I juts hand wash everything. I've found that even dishwasher safe plastics get messed up over time, so I just like to play it safe. For the cleaning of the cups and pitcher, I will just shoot a small amount of detergent into them with warm water, and just blend them on the machine for a couple of cycles. Come out nice and clean, and you can keep your fingers away from those sharp ninja blades.

      Heya, Alan... The 1600 is the Max output and the 1200 is the sustained power output... That's the only one that really matters, IMO. The max number is more so they can put bigger numbers on the box.. Most of the manufacturers use that kind of jargon. The Ultimate system has plenty of power, anyways though. • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok.... so the Ninja Ultimate system is a complete system... it is essentially a 1600w blender with options for single serve cups and smoothie bowls that also has the ability to use processing discs to handle food processing duties. The Kitchenaid 13 is a 13 cup food processor. It has higher capacity than the Ninja which is a max of 9-cup, but I couldn't see any power numbers on their site. I assume that the Kitchenaid is a little less powerful, since the ninja needs the extra power for blending duties. Now, since the Kitchenaid is a food processor only, it means that it can't handle regular blending duties like the Ninja would, but it definitely has higher capacity so it can hanle larger jobs. How well it works, I can't be sure of since I haven't used it, but KitchenAid makes good stuff, so I have to assume it works pretty well.... but so does the Ninja and it can do a lot more stuff. I doubt you could go wrong with either one, but if you want to save counter space, Ninja's all in one solution will mean you only have one appliance out on your countertop instead of 2. If you need to be able to process jobs larger than 9 cups, however, the Kitchenaid might be a better choice overall. In my case I had a dedicated food processor before, and when we picked up the Ninja Ultimate system, I ended up putting the Food processor in the pantry and forgot that I had it after a couple of weeks. Kitchenaid might be a little more durable though, possibly? That's hard to say, but on average they make pretty resiliant products... their mixers are, anyways... Hoppe that helps!

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's easy for stuff to get stuck behind those tamper blades in that smoothie bowl cup. Especially nut butters and stuff. The way I clean that and my other pitchers is I fill it about half way with warm-hot tap water, squirt in some dish soap (I use blue Dawn), and then stick it on the base and run a couple of cycles. with the one with the tamper on it, you can continuously turn that dial while it's blending, and it should get all that stuff thats stuck back there out... cleans up any kind of smells you have left over too.... If that doesn't work, you can let it soak in white vinegar also.

    And for all Ninja fans, I just got a flyer from Costco, from October 26th to November 20th, they will sell that SS401 for $129.99.
    If I can use the 32oz pitcher from the SS151 on that, I will be at Costco on October 26Th.

      Hi, Anne. The Pitcher will probably physically fit (the ss351 one does), but the problem is that the Ultimate System base is what you need for the processing discs to work. Also, there is a plasitc switch in the pitcher that engages when you have the discs installed. Without the correct base, the motor won't spin with that attachment installed. The single serve cups still should work and the basic blender stuff works too. At least all that stuff from the ss351 did..... It was a bummer though.

      Try making sure the pitcher is seated properly and that the lid is on the pitcher the right way. The spout on the lid should be opposite of the handle. If it isn't, the doesn't come on. Hope that helps!

    Hey, how about it's suction? I am curious to know is it easy to move?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't have the suction lever on the side that ninja used to use.... Just regular suction cups now. That being said, if the cups and the counter top are clean, it makes a good seal and holds on really nice. When you want to pull it up, you gotta be careful and grab it from the bottom around the sides, so you don't put too much stress on the plastic. I've hear of people breaking clips on the bottom of the base when they pull on it from the top too much.

      Thanks a lot for replying. I used the order version and liked a lot except the suction part. I broke the motor very badly. Wanted to try the newer version but don't have confidence on it due to it's same suction part.

      Yeah.. Just lift from the bottom and you'll be all good. I haven't had any issues with mine, but I know where you're coming from.

    Hello, do you know what the differences are between the ss401 blender and the CO401B blender? Thanks

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The co401b is the bundle sold at Costco. (that's what the CO is). Special bundle just for Costco members. Surprisingly, it appears to be exactly the same, except for better pricing.

      Check to make sure the lid is on all the way. if it doesn't snap down all the way, it will just blink the light.

    Which one would you recommend slice bell peppers🫑 in full slices? Slices similar to a sandwich 🥪 shop?
    Right now, I'm using the $12 Mainstay Slicer from Walmart only because it's the only one I found that slices full slices. It works well and fits in a drawer for easily!
    I also have a Ninja Professional Auto IQ with the cookie dough attachments. I didn't want to buy another full size knowing I only want to slice cucumber and bell peppers.
    Much Gratitude for your time.

      Hmmm.... Getting those full size slices is a tough one. You end up needing a countertop slider for thatx and they're mostly pretty big. Ninja makes onez but I've never used it.

      I ended up ordering this one, 7 Cup Food Processor by Cuisinart, 600-Watt Motor, White, DLC-10SYP1 via Amazon...I hope it does everything it said it would. It was "on sale", $25.96 Off.
      If you can think of the name that Ninja makes, kindly let me know!
      Gratitude again for your time and replying!😊

    does it have 1600W or 1200W after all? I read some complaints saying that at the base of it is 1200W.

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's 1200w sustained power with a 1600w peak.... however some companies advertised sustained power and some advertise the peak wattage.. It's deceptive for sure and makes comparisons harder.

    Excellent review, thank you!
    Unfortunately this Ultimate system isn’t available in Europe (I wonder if it’s because of the “SS” in the name), so I had to order next best thing - Foodie power blender - which leaves me without slicer, shredder and grader. This makes me sad 😢
    Can you please check if the extra parts from Ultimate fit on foodie power blender? I might order them as accessories from the US

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Deny. The parts physically fit, and you can do the blender functions, but none of the stuff with the discs will. The pitcher has a plastic passthrough that activates something on the base when you have the disc lid on it. Also, the power blender base doesn't have the option to control that either... It was the first thing I tried when I got it. The availability might have something to due with the power output. It peaks at 1200W. Isn't there some sort of law there restricting everything to 900w or something like that?

    • @nedis4
      @nedis4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JoesPhenomenal thanks for the reply! It sucks those are not compatible with the Foodie Power Blender.
      No, I don't think power output is the issue, the are plenty of machines over 1500W here and both Professional Plus Kitchen System and Foodie Power Blender are advertised as 1200W (not peak) here. So this is very disappointing they don't make Ultimate model available here. Looks like I'll have to live without those extra features or get a dedicated food processor for slicing/shredding/grating

    • @JoesPhenomenal

    Thanks for the review. Just an FYI on your audio, it is EXTREMELY bass heavy. It's so bass heavy that I had to turn it way up to hear your voice. But it ended up being too loud, soI had to mute your voice and put the closed captions on so I could watch without damaging my ears.

      Shoot... Thanks for the heads up. Recorded on a wireless lav mic and the audio wasn't great so I had to fix it in Audition... Must have been too heavy handed on it for your setup. Sorry about that.
