For anyone in the comments section wondering, this bill did NOT go through. After a little bit of research I found out it was introduced on february 7, 2024, in a previous session of Congress, but did not receive a vote. In simpler terms, it was introduced but never passed and put in to action.

To any international student hoping to serve this beautiful country as a way to be grateful to this nation hanging in there. I pray that this bill will pass so that those of us who have legally immigrate here for our education can use this opportunity to give back if they are willing.
Thank you sir for sharing this information with us and hopefully this Bipartisan legislation will pass for the reasons that you have enumerated.

If I am legal in the country with a 2-year humanitarian parole, I already have my social and work permit, I can join the US Navy, I am Cuban, so after one year and one day I have the right to the Cuban adjustment law. I would eventually have my residency but I would like to join now.

I was wondering if I can join the army without a green card. I'm 16 but turning 17 next month. I came to Saipan when I was 5 because my parents are divorce and my mom has full custody of me. My mom has been here since 2008. I came to Saipan in 2012. I have been staying here since 2012. I have every document with me but I just don't have a green card. I'm taking my asvab in school this month and I'm graduating high school next school year. I am fluent in Chinese: Cantonese and Mandarin. I also understand Korean. I can also speak and write English.
