Hey, Joe. You're looking well. Glad I caught this one. Brings to mind my Outward Bound experience when I was forty-five up around that area. That was twenty-five years ago...an amazing trip that changed my life inside and out. Once you're miles out in the great wild north, there's no turning back; you have to deal with what comes at ya. I remember doing solo, long portages, black flies, an electrical storm while sitting on a rubber mat, exhaustion and tears. At the time I thought I was an outdoorsy type of gal, but little did I know. I returned to civilization bug bitten and determined not to sweat the small stuff. What a beautiful country we live in. Thanks for sharing your trips with us. No more roughing it for me...just nice little saunters on a bush path. Charlotte
Hey Joe, my wife and I are in Italy and wanted a break from all the hustle and bustle and saw you posted a new video. The perfect relaxation after a crazy day of touring.
'We've been made'....that made me laugh. That's exactly what I say to my BF when we're in Algonquin and the squirrels/chipmunks seem to be chirping at us. Great job (like always) on the video! We were in Algonquin in September and the colours hadn't really started showing like they are in your video. I want to go back now!
Great vid, I am 80 next month and am living these adventures through you. I have done a lot of boating herein the states but always wanted to do some canoeing but just never got around to it. I enjoyed your trip with Doug thru the Algonquin.
Your videos are always top-notch Joe. Love your relaxed style. You have inspired me to get out wild camping in the Scottish highlands as I didn't have the confidence before seeing your videos. 3 years in and already got plenty of cracking memories. So thanks for changing the way I use my annual leave!
Mike's back! Cool, I always liked Mike. But more importantly, new Joe vid!!!! Been waiting for this, a real trip, a real Joe adventure, woohoo! Time to get comfortable and enjoy the show.
Excellent job,Joe! Meeting Mike was definitely an awesome part of the video. Again you are blessed with great friends! I've never been to Algonquin and I can't wait to do a trip there! Kyle must love this video, too! Great trip even with the rain. I loved the video shot in the canoe and downpour. That was so cool! The firey sunset was gorgeous, also. Keep it up!

Great video Joe! It was great to see some of the same place we visited in 2015. We now finally know which is best route from Biggar Lake to Lawren Harris. Dam that Birchcliffe creek!
"Jake" from the Brent store plays a big part of this adventure. I had the pleasure to meet and talk with him 5 years ago almost to the day. Myself and a group of 3 others were staying at the Ranger Cabin on the point at Cedar lake. He is a true Algonquin icon. Thanks for sharing this Joe.

Really enjoyed this movie. Inspiring, funny, informative and brilliant filming. You have an amazing playground over there. Look forward to your next adventure.
Have traveled some of your route. Tried to camp on that Nadine portage campsite but it was occupied by some guy and his daughter. We hung around waiting for an invitation as we didn't want to ask but the guy didn't offer . We were pretty grungy being in the same clothes day and night for 3 days and my buddies face beet red with sunburn. Maybe he noticed my buddy looking over his attractive 15 yr old daughter like a dog looks at a steak. But it was 7 pm and 4 hrs down river to the next campsite. We gave up on the guy and paddled back up river a bit to where there was a sand bank and set up a campsite. So much for Algonquin neighborliness. The campsite is huge being some old logging camp. We had just crossed the park from Tim L , in 3 days , doing 12 hr days. And were on the verge of exhaustion.
Since I made the series last trip, I decided to do one full movie about the trip this time.
What do you guys/gals think?
think i like the full movie version, bangers either way!
I like both but I can watch two in one this way, no waiting!
