Yes.
With VRay physical camera you don't need to decrease the intensity multiplier value. Just keep it to 1

How did you get the sky color? Did you use dome hdrmi?

Click and make the sun 🌞 in the viewport by dragging.
When you release the click. A dialogue box will appear.
V-Ray Sun
Would you like to automatically add a VraySky environment map?
Click yes on this dialogue box

No. As long as you are using same camera.It will render same.

How to open .vrmat & .vrmesh files in 3ds max 2017 to 2022?

Open Vrmesh file.
Open create menu
Then go VRay
Then click VRay proxy.
Finally click in any viewport

Open tools menu
Click VRay vrmat converter at the bottom.
A menu will open.
Then click impot material from .vrmat
Another window will open to browse the file
Just change it's files of types from galaxy pack to Vrmat.
And import the file
