Pity the edit was done before Dismukes' appearance in the Emma Stone/Bowen Yang "Naked in New York" music video, the one that proved, once for all time, that in Andrew Dismukes mankind has crafted the sexiest otter ever.
Melissa is super talented, they should be spending more time writing sketches that are specifically for her. The fact that she doesn't yet have her own reoccurring character (something like Kristin Wigg & either the "special" sister singer or Gilly) is a travesty. They did it for her, so why not Melissa? She just needs a chance to shine. She seems super shy in a way, but I honestly think that's something to do with the fact that she's on so little, the pressure must seem higher to get it perfect.
A lot of talented people, women in particular, left the show, having never been able to show their range or depth of talent. For years the writing staff had the homogenous perspective of teenaged white boys churning out really immature material. I hate to see talent wasted
this dude is hilarious he used to do some stuff on our high school TV show called Prime Time and he was the only reason i watched that shit cause he was funny as hell
Cajuns are of french and black descent. Very few are of actual Acadian descent as well, Acadians being Native American tribes local the north eastern half of north america I have trouble believing this kid is anything beyond french descent. kinda predictable punchlines for someone who hasn't lived much yet, just making generalizations about his own background that he seems to be unaware of
Enough with the faux history lesson. Just enjoy a young, comedic talent in the making. 😆😆😆 After all, this is a comedy skit...not a college history lecture hall. 🤷🏼♀️
Dude got on SNL. Not bad not bad. Congrats.
These days that a bad thing given how stale snl is. They seriously need to cancel that show.
@@bodbn understand that point in terms of the quality of the show. But its still a remarkable achievement for anyone. Not an easy gig to get.
He's been a writer there for a couple seasons as well.
I went to highschool with Andrew and this dude has been so fucking funny 😂😂
@Fergus Mor mac Eirc ?
Okay. Cajun John Mulaney. I can dig it.
This boy is cute. Not just funny, but cute. I love his ears, and voice.
@@kentkoleslau7390 Proof? 😉
For real like this man’s stolen my heart
Fr
Exactly!! The ears and the voice make him so uniquely cute
So glad he's finally getting more recognition on SNL!

Hilarious!!! Genius writing and delivery. Noticed he joined the SNL cast and did some research!
HUUUUUUUGE John Mulaney type beat.
The "we gotta go" is also the Batman doctor off New in Town.
Omg. So funny! The razor blade bit was inspired.
Oh look, it’s a young version of Mikey Day. Perfect for SNL skits.
try and not spill it on the Mossimo
Very funny.
Thought he’d be funnier
He was like 17 here. What, your set was better when you were 17? FFS dude
This man is an incredible talent and of course SNL doesn't know what to do with him...
For a first year? He had a solid showing
Just like their most talented female cast member, Melissa. She gets so little air time compared to others who just aren't as funny or talented imho.
He’s been on the writing staff for the past 3/4 years

the "it was just a gun" had me ACTUALLY laughing out loud by myself and for that, sir, I am a new fan :D
If John Mulaney and Cole Sprouse had a kid
👀👀👀👀👀
this dude is hilarious he used to do some stuff on our high school TV show called Prime Time and he was the only reason i watched that shit cause he was funny as hell
Yeah they announced it on the png NDN press Twitter, so I had to check him out!!He’s pretty funny.
Bulldogs babyyy
It turns out that he's the first SNL cast member to be born in the same year as me! (1995)
OMG! Are you the reason Gillette made that ad!? Did they feel too called out!? 😂
Making fun of Republicans was high culture in 2016.
So funny. Cajun culture bit was fresh and spot on. I kinda miss snl’s hilariously weird Katrina diaspora skit, Cajun Justice.
Maine Justice with Jason Sudeikis? Oh yeah, that's one of my favorite SNL skits ever!
Big Mulaney energy and I am HERE for it
Funny, relaxed, charming, down-to-earth, talented......Andrew is the complete package. 💜😆💜
Funny guy, I could see why Cher gave him the thumbs up!
He’s my favorite! One of the most talented and underrated comedians I hope he gets a Netflix deal or something big
Underated is over used ryan... like you just used it in your comment
I’m excited to see him on SNL tomorrow I have a lot of faith in season 46
Hahaha his Cajun man persona is funny af
the only funny guy on snl rn
He looks like Tony Perkins.
That's not bad. Didn't really put a specific call on it myself, but he definitely had a "looks like" thing going on. Perkins is not a bad call.
@@slyjokerg Ikr?? I feel like i've seen that face before but can't quite tell who...
LMAO 👏🏻 Treasure!
Looks like somebody at snl casting has a type. Mikey Day, mulaney and dismukes are all the same guy
I like him a lot
I'm ms dismukes student
Yessss!!!
Not a lot of laughs from him in this set. Weak. Didnt finish it.
@Ellie This comment was hard to come too. Do better, i'm only halfhard
Steps onto stage. Complains about White people. I love comedy!
I didnt think this was very funny

Acadians were not Native American my guy and you’re confusing Cajun and Creole which are distinct from one another
Youre thinking of Creoles. Kind of hilarious how confidently wrong you are though.

SNL hires anybody nowadays. No wonder the quality of the show is in the toilet.
