New drums and shoes

I waited entirely too long to replace my rear drums and brake shoes.
What an exceptional difference it has made.
There were a couple of challenges and tricks worth including.
I also made mistakes trying things a different way.

Great work, buddy! I’m so jealous that wide five drums have the adjustment hole is in the front of the drum instead of the backing plate like mine! I actually never knew about that until watching this video

Knowing that the videos might actually be of use to others is really the highest goal for me. Thanks for sharing. My wife is happy to ride with me.. in most weather!, but 0 interest in driving it 😂

Yep, you showed us how it's done again. Did you attempt to turn your old drums down or just chose to just buy new? When I did the rear axle brakes on by bus I couldn't find anyone around Springfield that had the small cones to fix the drum. I cleaned up my old drums and put them back on. Will find out if they need more attention when I get her on the road. Been doing honey dos around the place, fall cleaning and getting ready for new laminate flooring (Monday) in the house. I need some bus therapy soon!

Really good question, which I had intended to cover in the video.. My son works at a dealer and we took the drums there, but they didn’t have adapters to deal with the tiny axle hole.
I hear you on the honey do list. I regularly think about how much I could get done on my personal stuff if I didn’t have a job and do ALL my own maintenance and repair to everything..
