Got both from Amazon ...sent the GX56 back and kept the 350. GD350 is probably the BEST negative watch in the GShock line. Casio should have made a different module for the GX 56 to capitlize on the bigger case but instead went cheap and used the same GW5600 module hence why the screen/digits are small. The only thing people like on the GX is the case size and thats it.
GD350 anyday over GX-56. My 2c.

Daaku Singh man the whole point of GX 56 is big size extra protection. Alpha gel and shock absorbers etc. if they make GX 56 like GD 350 what’s the point of releasing two models? Don’t forget the GD350 benefits from not having solar panel around it so the display can be really big. I prefer solar+extra protection over just big digits

You are right about legibility and aesthetics but the GX56 was built for extremely demanding and tough environments
Triple layered case, Double mineral glass protection, Alpha gel for superb shock absorption, mud resistance
None of which are on the gd350
All of that needs that extra space
The gd 350 looks great for a -ve display and is tough, but the king is THE Toughest G shock arguably and will survive a bomb ( hyperbole, but possibly, who knows ? )

Just got one today on clearance at Wal-mart for $54. They had both the gray and black positive display. I got the black. Great G-shock.

I've got both coming in the post. Actually, if I'd seen this video again today, I probably would not have bid on the GX56, but a perfect condition King for £50 was too good to pass up. Funnily I only bought the GD350 (for £20) to convert it to a positive display as a practice run before converting the GX56 to positive. But the GD350 looks so nice in negative, I think I'll leave it.

Before either of these arrived in the post I also bought a positive GXW, they all arrived in the same post - so I now I have the set of three! I don't think that I'll actually ever wear the black GX as the other two are so good!

I had the gd350 and gave it to my brother in law when I was vacation in Thailand. Got back in the states and about this gx56-bb. After debating for weeks I think I'm gonna return it and get the gd350 again. This gx56 is questionable. Solar power is nice and all but if you have many watches to wear you have to worry this gx56 getting charged fron the sun. Ad for protection, how much protection you are really need for a watch.

Dull, but you'll get use to it. GX56 solar power, FYI creen fogs up. I like the watch, thinking in getting the 350.
