how many years was this ac without being clean?I just cleaned mine, not that throughly of course and it is 10 years old (using it mainly in summer) and I got shocked that it wasn't that dirty not even the half of the one you are showing in the video!!! good video, very satisfying to watch.
Hi, Thanks for your comment! As your air conditioner acts like a vacuum and sucks in the air in the room it is in so it does vary on how often it needs to be cleaned. Mould is very common in places where there is lots of humidity or where the AC's are used for heating. We do recommend your air conditioner having a thorough clean every year as many people are surprised what comes out after a good HydroKleen. Thanks

Split type AC are not as common in the US as they are there maybe but I am starting to notice them a lot in apartments. I have one in my apartment. Does this cleaning system exist in the US?
Hi @Jarrod Smith, The Mini Split market in the US is expanding very quickly as it did here in Australia. We do have three licensees in Texas currently but we will be appearing at some US expos in the next year to hopefully get some more people using the system. Oh. That`s a nice video! Do you use a cleaning (expanding) foam, please? Some services use a "Mizu" brander foam and advise that this method is the best for air con coil.
Hi, Thanks for your comment. We don't use a foam because that doesn't remove the build up especially from the heavy coils. We use a biodegradable cleaning agent but its mostly the pressure and volume of water that we have coming from our machine that pushes the material from the coil. foam, steam or sprays cannot do that.
What about the air swing motor and the control panel? Won't it get any water? Is it water proof?

Would you do this in a customer's home?
I would think that most homeowners would NOT allow this to happen.
As a contractor, how do you keep this spray from going ONLY to the unit and not the customer's environment?
Hi @Tom Thumb, Thanks for your comment! We are in 36 countries around the world and have cleaned over 1.5 million A/C units including in homes so we have been allowed to do this many times. We have a catchment bag that filters to a catchment tank to catch the dirty water. Our cleaning agent is environmentally friendly and is even approved by the National Asthma Council in Australia so it is not harmful so the dirty water can be tipped on the garden without hurting plants.

Which one is better. Form or pressurised water
Hello, Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately with foam it only sits on the surface and can't penetrate the heavy mould and junk on the back of the coil. We have lots of feedback that many foam coil cleaners erode the coil which makes the Air Conditioners only last a certain amount of time. With the right volume and pressure of water you can remove built up dirt, mould and even grease from the back of a coil. If you would like more information visit www.hydrokleen.com
Is it dangerous if we accidentaly wet the electrocsl cables on the right side of the ac?
Yes it can certainly be, We make sure we have equipment that stops that from happening and isolate the power before cleaning.
