I remember playing this at my local arcade. In fact, I still do! I made it on the leaderboard once after spending a good few quarters on this game. Still one of my favorites! Thanks for uploading this!
Ah yes, this good ol’ game was my first gateway to true horror video games. I know this isn’t labeled a horror game, but first of all, this game is the reason for my Entomophobia. Second, the enemies and their designs are absolutely terrifying, with their only purpose being to actively kill you. Third, with the mushroom mutation thing going on, it almost feels like a kid-friendly Resident Evil but with mushroom-infested insects instead of zombies. Fourth, the game’s soundtrack make you feel like you’re actually in a dangerous South East Asian jungle where you’re pretty much prey to the enemies. And finally, the game’s atmosphere that can go from chaotic and frantic to downright unsettling and claustrophobic like in the cave level (which especially felt like I was playing a horror game). So yeah, that’s my little review for this nostalgic arcade game ^_^
Never heard of it, but I feel a sword shaped controller would be damaged or stolen immediately here. Looking at it, I bet a kid would smash the TV with the stick too. I'll take a proper look at it some time, though.
Yeah. Jungle machines had 5.1 (5.2?) surround sound and for whatever reason decided to put the voices on the side speakers rather than the main ones. The result is the voices are missing when emulated unless you have 5.1 speakers. Some people have manually edited in the lines from the special edition, but a lot of lines are still missing.
I probably will eventually. I want to cover all the Resident Evil games in order over the years, but first I want to finish covering the Alone in the Dark series.
Its so weird seeing this game and not hearing the rhythmic beating around of the turret when the gun fires
I remember playing this game all the way through at a local arcade with a late friend of mine. Good times.
I played with my late cousin. ☹️

The slingshots are like Semi-auto rifles
Awesome game. Have you play Mazan Flash of the Blade? It's a arcade sword game by Namco, you pick up the sword and fight enemies on the screen.

Yes, I used TeknoParrot.
The real question is . Why are the animals and bugs attacking them
Spoilers, but the game says why towards the end.
Also the animation for the game looks pretty good and funny at the same time
They definitely had fun making this game.

Was there something wrong with the voice audio? I couldn't here them very well.

Do you plan to play the resident evil rail shooters?
