There is really something terribly addictive about this show. I wonder why Ramin, Sierra and Hadley are not more famous than they are now because they're all such exquisite actors and singers.
So true! I bought the phantom 25th movie and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it just because I was in the mood to listen to any music, but this is the music I always come back to. Truly everyone in this show was amazing, but yes Sierra, Ramin and Hadley are such an incredible trio…I feel like I could watch them in anything. I wish they would’ve done more filmed theater productions together, like this one, so I could buy those too!
I admit I only looked up Ramin Karimloo because I saw him in Holby City and read that he was a singer. Since them I’ve been hooked his voice along with Sierra and Hadley is mesmerising.
What separates Ramin from other Phantoms is that he's always playing a man who is deranged and dangerous, but is only hiding that for the sake of Christine. In the book he never even hides it from her. However, there is still a man in there, and you can see the moments of true humanity and compassion. "All I Ask of You (Reprise)" is the moment he lets his metaphorical mask slip completely and becomes the true monster he is, not because of his face but because of who he is. Every other Phantom plays him as somebody teetering on the edge of insanity that Christine could pull from the brink with her love, or could push over the edge with rejection, and play the Act I finale as him actually going insane, as opposed to just revealing his insanity, and then becoming "normal" again at the end of the show. That's what gives Ramin his uniqueness over other Phantoms, he plays an insane and terrifying man but retains the humanity underneath.
Yes! Quite a few of them just sing the notes and words... Ramin, he puts his whole soul into performing as the Phantom. That's why he'll always be the best.
little trivia: the two people we see walking on the upper part of the stage are actually not sienna and ramin, they are like "stunt doubles" doing a really good lypsinc. the shot of sienna is actually from later in the video :)
I love how this portrayal shows just how seduced Christine is, so much so that the Phantom is literally pulling the high notes that she’s never hit before out of her. Other portrayals show her in love or curious and is hitting the high notes out of her talent, but this one shows Christine’s reaction to finally seeing the man whose voice she’s been dreaming about for most of her life.
Awesome idea! I've been introduced to POTO a few days ago, Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum's movie version and I appreciated the songs already, but it was Ramin and Sierra's version that made me really passionate about it, specially Ramin's take on "Music of the Night", that was stellar. Hope a lot of people see and recognize the beauty of the Phantom of the Opera as endless years roll by. Note: Don't let Ramin's "Music of the Night" pass you by.
@@keithwalker5078 Ramin was 33 when this was filmed. Gerard was 35 when he filmed the movie, so your "too young" suggestion is wrong. I agree that he didn't have the voice for the role though.
I'm sorry that the movie was how you were introduced to Phantom. I love Gerard Butler, and I know he worked his butt off for that role, but it was like Russell Crowe as Javert...just bad. Nothing beats Broadway. I saw Phantom live when I was 13. Nothing compares.
It’s refreshing to see someone introduced to Phantom by the movie willing to expand beyond it ☺️ I was introduced to the original cast but definitely enjoy exploring the various takes.
Confused why this is being posted again? It seems identical to the other one. But it's such an amazing song from an equally amazing version of an equally fantastic production that I don't mind. Plus it might signal boost Phantom to people again! It's been a while since I watched this in its entirety (I know, fake Phan over here). But I think I'm due for another watch!
Most of the clips posted now are duplicates. The channel has run out of fresh material so they are doing this to play TH-cam's algorithm and appear to be popular, and thus be recommended.

they should have used Ramin's ore-recorded vocal track since it has the "stronGER yet riff" and that's what the *PHANS* want to hear (how *THEY* want to hear it performed takes precedence over how Andrew wants it) kind of like how Emmy Rossum sang the "Think Of Me" key change in the film in in EB even though the Phans voted for it in F.

I love so many phantoms for so many different reasons, but no one beats ramin for a wounded bad boy. The James Dean of phantoms
exactly! The HOLDDDD this recording had over teenage me hahaha
My favorite part of Ramon’s phantom is how you can hear how insane the Phantom really is. You can always hear the desperation in his voice
Ramin whisking Sierra away behind the mirror never fails to give me chills! :D

I’m floored by Sierra’s GREAT SET OF PIPES
With that kind of song for Christine, salute for all Christine who were able to perform like that 8 time a week, every night.

Ramin and sierra do it best
Ramin and Sierra are my favorite pairing of Phantom and Christine. First among equals.
Ramin... The best Phantom ever.

Sing once again with me

Those who have seen your face
Draw back in fear
I am the mask you wear
It's me they hear
Your spirit and your voice
In one combined
The phantom of the, opera is there

Is that the phantom of the opera?
Beware the phantom of the opera
In all your fantasies

That man and mystery

And in this labyrinth
Where night is blind
The phantom of the opera is there
