You are an ace with the handheld jigsaw. I tried it, but did not work out (vibration). Good thing I started with just a little nick in the corners. Then switched to my SS bandsaw.

Hi Michael, is the headstock attached to the neck with a scarf joint or is the whole assembly made from a single piece of oak?

Thanks Clark,. The saw I have is a cheaper one also, so I would say a Walmart one will do. :) Its just a regular wood blade.
