For real though... Leprous are one of the best prog/art rock bands out there right now (and probs my fav bad at the moment). I've yet to meet someone who doesn't like at least some of their stuff. But there's a first for everything sadly

Another thing about tool is that they are so unique in their approach to songwriting and that doesn't sit with some people. Their songs don't really have melodious lines and harmonic backgrounds that follow common chord progressions, more like a droning, rhythmic kind of sound.
What do Chon actually sound like? Pure bliss. The look on your face and the "I like this" was exactly my reaction the first time I heard them. They put on an incredible show too. Highly recommend whenever that's a thing again.

I saw Henge at a small festival outside Glasgow a few years back. Fantastically good fun band (their last tune ended with a conga), and I find myself playing their Cosmic Dross EP once a month or so.
Never heard of Henge before, but I like what I've heard so far. That one clip doesn't seem to be completely representative, though. Check out 'Get Outta My House'. It's a little like if the guy behind Gorillaz started a prog rock band. Great video concept, by the way! Funnily enough that's the takeaway from this video for me, discovered a great band! I think get outta my house would make a great track for one of those low tuned metal covers, though is great as is already!
You should definitely include the Danish band Vola if you were to do a part 2 of this. I enjoyed this video. Did not expect the first one to be Folk Metal at all.
I'm surprised you don't like Leprous. I think they're easily one of the best, if not the best rock band currently. Catchy enough to be enjoyed by your average radio listener, but very sophisticated musicianship especially in their verses/bridges. The drummer is an absolute beast, although they focus a lot on their vocalist.
It turns out, on the Metal Archives website, that Nachtblut are a melodic gothic/black metal band. Of course, that song sounded more blackened pagan folk metal to me.
This was a fun video and could be a great series. Agent Fresco is a killer icelandic band and I'm interested in seeing what you think they would sound like.

Allegaon is pronounced Allegion. I asked their Guitarist after I'd seen them play in Bristol and went for a drink with him (the younger Guitarist) they're an awesome band very proggy for a tech death band definitely check them out and see them live if you can
Indie rock isn't a genre. It's a category of bands either unsigned or signed to a small and independent label. The confusion comes from a flood of very similar sounding post-punk alternative rock bands in the late 1980s coinciding with a flood of small local labels and self-publishing around the same time.
I wouldn't have guessed folk metal with that first band, but the singer's face in the photo showed way too much expression to be a grim black metal band. haha
