Thanks so much for this video. I think this might be the only hands-on review I've seen for this model. I've been looking for an isup to learn wingsurfing on (so much to consider). Are there comparable models that are essentially the same?
The Aztron boards are good for the value. There are some other brands that have similar boards too but they cost more. JP Australia is a brand that make good windSUPs as well, could be worth a look at too. Check out an older video we did : th-cam.com/video/4LRHWGTtrmI/w-d-xo.html Thanks Reuben
@@SUPboardermag Hi Reuben. Thanks for the reply! I'm in the US, and from my newbie perspective wind isups are something of a unicorn here (I've yet to find a domestic retailer of the Aztron Soleil). Looks like naish, starboard, fanatic, o'shea also make a wind isup but 1.5-2x more expensively. I like the idea of something I can enjoy outdoors even when the wind is nil. This might fit the bill.
Yeah this would work. It's not a real performance bit of kit. But it does get you on the water in most conditions. I feel like brands like Naish & Starboard windSUP's would offer a higher top end. Send Aztron an email, ref availability and getting one to you. Worth a try. Thanks Reuben
@@SUPboardermag The do-it-all approach does lead to compromises, no doubt (especially at the Soleil price point). Right now availability of anything seems to be the biggest issue. I'll keep reading up in the mean time. Can't hurt to drop Aztron a line, as suggested. Thanks again Reuben.
We contacted Aztron and they said that most of their sails will fit in the back of a car. The mast is the only longer bit which is easy to side inside a car.
Great job! If in the long term you want to reach a good level in windsurfing with one of them, which do you think is the best of the two boards for windsurfing in the Mediterranean Sea? Thank you!
Well it really comes down to what you mean by a good level of windsurfing? I would say these boards are very much the entry-level to get into the sport. Probably after a while you will definitely want to upgrade to a hardboard with footstrap placements that can handle speed better for windsurfing. Out of both the boards the longer board will offer you more glide and performance went flat water paddling. As far as windsurfing is concerned they are both very similar. I hope that helps thanks Reuben
@@SUPboardermag Thanks! In any case, let me ask you to commit yourself (obviously without real compromise, hehe). Just for windsurfing, which of the two boards do you think is the best? Even if it's only by a small difference!
Hello, my friend, I have the following question - I have wind/sup for next couple of days I wouldn't have the opportunity to go to water so the board will stay at home should I deflete a little bit ,in order to do not put stress in the board when is not in the water ? Thank you very much in advance for your assistance. #shaka
We leave all our iSUPs inflated all the time. This is fine, but as long as it stored flat on the ground (or supported in several places) and out of the sun!
Hi, do you know if it’s possible to put some additional deck padding on the board as it, just as you mentioned , gets very slippy when you move around? Br kim
Hi Kim, the simplest way is to apply some surf wax straight to the board. But buying some extra EVA padding and sticking it on would work too. But wax is quicker and easier I would say. Thanks Reuben
No unfortunately the sail isn't included. The sail in the video is an older Naish sail. But any rig / sail will work. If you're starting off a sail about 4m would be a good place to start size wise. Thanks Reuben

Excellent review, thank you. Any idea whether there are sails that fold up small enough to get into a car boot? Thanks.

Thanks for a helpful review. Is the board any good for wave surfing?
It will catch the small waves but you wont get much performance out of it at all.

Notice that he didn't actually post any footage of surfing
Can You use a Standard-rigg with Euro-pin Mast foot?
Yes that is what we were using. Thanks Reuben

Thank you very much. The wax worked perfect. Now I’m looking out for another center fin(daggerboard) to go upwind😀 . Br kim
Great review! But I really don't understand why that man in video went under the bar with his body 😂👍
It's an old windsurfing freestyle manoeuvre that they used to do on the big boards back in the day.😉
Can insert straps?
No you cant unfortunately
@@SUPboardermag thanks
Is the sail included? If not, what sail is used in the video?

@@SUPboardermag alright thank you very much for your answer!
thanks for the detailed review! So do you think that the double chamber is really a plus when used as windsurf board?
Yes for sure the double chamber really does help. But with an iSUP its central fin that makes the biggest difference.
Get a starboard airplane. It has a rail.
good job
Thank you! Cheers!
