Happy to hear Mr. Hollis's health is improving. Fun to see you on the water again and that Ms Nancy is getting to use and enjoy all that the two of you have grown.
I watched this one twice. So peaceful, so beautiful! What a healthy, delicious meal! So glad that you're getting your diabetes under control, Hollis. Your family needs you, and so do we. I just love you two wonderful, good people! Thank you for sharing the bounty of your lives with us!
Beautiful weather, caught plenty of fish, a wife that baits her own hook, a great-looking meal and lower blood sugars, yall are well blessed on this day. Thanks for sharing it all with us.
Ain't nothing finer than being out in the boat on a calm lake at dawn. Then the sun comes up, the fish start biting. Maybe some Creedence on the box, maybe some bud and cold brew to balance the mood. Pull to the shore, start a fire, batter up some fish and deep fry em! G'dam that's a slice of fried gold!
I used to tell my son that we were eating the finest meal, only had at the best restaurants, I was right. What you have there is some fine eats! As I told my son, there is nothing better than home grown and cooked on Mamas stove. Live long and please, keep on keeping on.
You two are such a wonderful couple. This was a lot of fun going with you to catch and harvest all that you needed for your meal!Much love from Neva on Whidbey Island, WA!
Just found ur chan. About 3 weeks ago. And i followed ur 5 gal bucket advice. What i really love is the prayer!!! I always ask the LORD to bless when i start, and ask him often to keep the harvest of my small garden going! So, thanks for the potato vid amd may GOD bless u and urs!!

Hollis…you make me jealous! “Oh yeahhhh” that says it all hehe! It looks so good and I know it is. You’re a blessed man as Nancy is a blessed woman. You’re both so fortunate to have each other. Bless God forever because He surely blesses us. Have you ever filmed a fish cleaning/filleting video? I think you should!

How peaceful was the scenery and the initial music you blended with it as you meandered into the main waters, so relaxing, thankyou for sharing your fishing time and what God has blessed and enabled you to do. Watching from Australia ❤
Omgoodness! That stew looks so amazing. I'm gonna try it when my tomatoes come on. Also, my husband should be getting some fresh Walleye on Saturday! I love y'alls traditional values. My daughter watched with me, & was in impressed by Mr. Hollis' chivalry. Thank y'all.
I love all your videos, I've even made Miss Nancy,s recipe,s, you inspire me with your vegies growing 😊, I grow all our vegies also, sending you both lots of love.❤
@@HollisNancysHomestead take 2 large onions and slice them about 1/8 - 1/4" thick and line the bottem of an electric skillet with the slices. Next take your raw crappie fillets and cover the onions. "I usually criss cross the fillets so there 2 lays of fish over the onions". Next season the fillets with salt and pepper. Next cover the fillets with mashed potatoes. Not to thick but thick enough to cover the fish with a good 1/4" of potatoes. Cover and cook at 300° for 1 hour. Take a wide spatula lift up an edge to see if the onions are caramelized. When the onions are caramelized, sprinkle the top with shredded grated cheese and some chives, recover for 5 more minutes. Turn off the skillet and uncover and let set for 5 more minutes to firm up. You should be able to slice it like a cake and eat it enjoy hope you make it it's very good! Bill
Greetings from NC! Whoaaa, Your pepper plant look so healthy and green.. I got the garden fever after watching one of your videos last year. I got hooked. This is my first year starting a little garden in pots growing habanero peppers. My seedlings were transferred to a 3.5” pot then will be transferred to a 5 gallon. That’s an extra step I believe that was unnecessary after watching you transplant from their seed cell straight into a 5 gallon 😵💫I will be moving them from their 3.5 “ to a 5 gallon right away. I am also looking forward to plant some eggplants 🍆 next year. Thank you for sharing! #FrugalMom has subscribed as well
When I lived in Melrose Florida I used to fish in Lake SantaFe. Did real good with Spec and Catfish and Bluegills. I wasn’t fishing for Bass but I would still catch them also. My bait of choice was Missouri Minnows, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the minnows were from Florida.😂
Mamas out fishin you. I made my comment about bait before I saw what you were using, definitely the ideal bait and I hook it the same way you do. I always had good results and when I cooked them with and grits and hush puppies the best way. My Buddy said if I wasn’t married he’d marry me.
Hey Nancy and Hollis I've been down for a while fighting leukemia and I was wondering how Bingbing is doing have been able to watch you guys for quite some time God bless hope all is well James A Hicks Sr
Prayers going up for you James. MY God comfort and heal you. 🙏. Bing Bing has fully recovered from the Rattlesnake bite but he never regained his strength as before. He is now very sensitive to heat as well. Some of it could be from his age too. We keep him on a leash outside now so he can’t run off in the woods and get hurt again. He seems to be content and happy. 🐶
@@HollisNancysHomestead I just love watching him when he plays around when you and Nancy are in the garden does he ever get any sweet potatoes and carrots with his meal
What a gorgeous glass lake day for fishing! Well done to go early and leave when the breeze pucks up! I'm always amazed at your catch, and gotta ask, what trolling speed do you use to catch the crappie? I'm in Nevada, far from crappie, but always hope to venture to Florida to fish! Nancy got your recipe saved, hope to make it the day I catch crappie in Florida!❤ God Bless you both!
what was the temp? looks a little chilly this morning. Everything looks awesome, Nancy are you going to start doing canning videos? So Hollis is now prediabetic, I am working on losing more weight also so I can get to normal, Keep it up. Nancy please share that bread recipe.
Thank you. My gift is not teaching like Hollis. My gift is more creative like making delicious meals from what we harvest. Canning I follow the National Center for Home Food Preservation nchfp.uga.edu/how/freeze.html#gsc.tab=0. And Ball Canning book. Blessings
