    “If a symbol is good, then a symbol that’s grounded is better.” Wow! One of the first podcasts JBP needs to do once he returns is with Gary Habermas. I know he’s talked to other Christians including William Lane Craig and almost Ravi Zacharias. (unfortunately Ravi passed away before it could happen) I’m praying that Jordan’s commitment to morality will lead him the source of it.

      Sorry but Ravi was an apostate/wolf, I doubt he was even a Christian.
      watch?v=GZDITwhAOns (for example at 18:43 he will call Joyce Meyer a great Bible teacher. At 26:52 he will call Henri Nouwen the greatest Saint of our time. Henri Nouwen was a Catholic priest, should be already enough but of course there is much more, watch the whole video)
      While I dont agree on some things with Servus Christi the video above shows with evidence that Ravi was an Ecumenist hence he also never gave clear answers when it came to Catholocism (NWO).

    I don't know why Christians keep idolizing Peterson. He's been publicly mulling over the deity of Christ for years, and it always comes back to symbolism for him (and maybe always will) for a very simple reason... he's an adherent of Carl Jung. The guy may present as an intellectual but in truth he's an occultist. That's what Jungian psychology is. I don't fault Christians for trying to reach him, but people need to understand where he's coming from. He's not a Christian, he's not sympathetic to Christianity, and people are a lot more likely to get swept up into occultism messing with him than he is to get swept up in Christianity. He already knows the Gospel apparently. He don't want it.

    It’s better for everyone if belief in the resurrection is a leap of faith than a historical fact (even if it is a historical fact it’s always a leap of faith anyway).

    • @patedwards932
      @patedwards932 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Marriage is also based on nature and the telos of human beings as male and female in the order of God's Creation (and Christian marriage as sacrament in the renewal of Creation and human hearts in Christ's New covenant), thus more than human positive law.

    I have ONE key question. Why would you stake the foundation of your religion on something that is so obviously scientifically impossible? Jesus himself said that only fools build their house on sand. Matthew 7:24-27

    • @TheCarpentersDesk
      @TheCarpentersDesk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      "scientifically impossible?"
      The resurrection hypothesis is the best fit for the data we have, unless you presuppose methodological naturalism- which clearly seems to be the case with you, friend.
      There is no good reason whatsoever to argue that nature is all there is. On the contrary, a good case can be made for miracles via Bayesian inference. Statistically speaking, you knowingly or unknowingly are subscribing to Hume's argument against miracles, which is based on a weak and un-updated prior probability.
      Here's a simple explainer of the Bayesian case: towardsdatascience.com/a-bayesian-quest-to-find-god-b30934972473
