Bryson is pretty much the only leading golfer who understands how the game has crossed over into social media, and by connecting with the game there and the creators who occupy that space, he's doing more to 'grow the game' and appeal to the younger generations than any tour or administrator. He gets it, they don't. Yes, he's a bit left field and it takes a while to connect with his quirky approach to the game, but he's innovative and enthusiastic, and doesn't think he's 'above' this kind of content. Maybe I don’t want to grow the game. How about that? Less people on the courses, means more available tee times, more space between groupings and less waiting around waiting for greens to clear etc, and lower membership waiting times and green fees.

As sick as that would be to see, it is very, very challenging and he needs to stay completely healthy for a complete calendar year to do so. It is asking a lot, I'm sure he would be happy with winning a major.

Bryson is some man .. the fact he is an elite professional, and yet he still gets genuinely excited for all of his friends' good shots .. no ego at all, just a very competitive mindset, which has got him to the top.
Watching Bryson’s videos is honestly enlightening. Getting the perfect golf swing is what everyone wants but the knowledge Bryson has about how the ball will spin with the wind or the slope, his putting lines are perfect, etc,. It really shows the difference between amateurs and pros more than anything else. Not something you realize when watching golf on tv. Amazing to learn and see

Short answer is probably not but Im here for it regardless.
Glad to hear Bryson express my idea that downhill putts are easier. Another way to think about it is that, for downhill putts, there is a nonzero set of speeds and lines for which gravity will make the putt for you. Uphill, the set is 0. I always question the whole "pin high" regurgitation...
I think your explanation is more significant than the “geometry” explanation. And Garrett’s comment about grain is also less significant. Though I’m still gonna say when they are really fast its way easier to control distance uphill and there is less break uphill.
I just watched this and am wrestling a little with it. I didn’t really follow their explanations. Was thinking maybe they are saying that if you hit a putt off line, you don’t get punished as much on a down-hiller.

Really appreciate you sharing with us the way you approach the game of golf mentally. Been playing the forward tees once a week to try and get comfortable shooting sub 70 to the dismay of other golfers on the course that let me play through 😂 it really helps keep me in the whole round just one shot and one hole at a time.
