I've just stumbled upon your channel and was so excited because of the type of videos...at first I was super bummed because I only speak English but I subscribed anyway thinking I could at least watch and maybe learn something but then I realized that you use both languages and subtitles!!! Thank you sooo much for doing this. Not only can I get all the great information from your videos, I mat be able to learn some words in a new language. I am sure there are plenty of people who appreciate the effort you put into making these videos. I am trying the cinnamon as a rooting agent... fingers crossed!

I often use banana together with freshly ground cinnamon to enforce the rooting abilites.
BTW I was born in Karachi and grew up there also, as my father used to be in diplomatic service in India (Bombay and Calcutta) and later in Pakistan. So we spent most of our vacations primarily in India or generally in the Himalayan region while I was growing up. Your channel gives me a sense of remembering those wonderful times, which have passed many years ago. The rooting method with banana and cinnamon I learnt from my Aya, who was Hindi. ;-)

Whenever I plant plants, I always sprinkle cinnamon powders on plants roots and also around soil as I know it strengths their root health and root production , but I never tried mixing cinnamon powder with water and pouring it. It could affect faster than powders which in a sense looks slower release. Moreover, thank you for basilics tips.

So I’m going to try the “trick” you suggested. I’m going to tweak it though. Maybe you might be interested. For the main growing medium I am going to use Dimataecous earth. It’s great for holding water, sterile, an all around great medium for starting seeds and cuttings. I have in the past used commercial rooting hormone but am trying something new. Like you I’ll sprinkle cinnamon powder on top after it has been thoroughly soaked until water runs clear. I use spring water so there are no chemicals. I have also used hydrogen peroxide as it kills anything bad in the medium. For the hormone dip I use a large aloe Vera leaf from grocery and remove the inside meat. I process this in a mixer with cinnamon and local honey. I add a little spring water too to my personal thickness. I just until it seems right. To prepare the cuttings I have them all together and my trays ready with the medium. All cuttings need at least 3 nodes anniversary the cut which will be a new one at 45* degrees just below the bottom node and seconds before dipping in the hormone mix. Cuttings are placed in soil medium immediately with at least 2” spacing. I use a soil block with 3” squares after the roots have taken in which is approx 30 days. Medium sunlight or greenhouse is best for rooting. On a side note I have read that a 20 minute soak in a aspirin water mix after new cut and before dipping in homemade hormone mix also helps. Aspirin water is one tablet with 5 cups or non chlorinated water (spring or rain water. Anyone may reach out to me if they try this too. My email is md5carrier@yahoo.com my name is Darrell Carrier.
