What about singleness not as just a season, but, a lifetime? Tons of people walk that path and there's so much to grapple and unpack there, its challenges and joys, - and its own amazing fulfillment. And we definitely don't talk much enough about that!

Yes, Jesus and the Bible has a very high view of a lifetime call to singleness. Jesus, who we model everything after, lived his whole life single. This is what he said in Matthew 19:12 : “For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others-and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.” Paul also says that he prefers singleness because of the ability to give our 100% undivided devotion to God, which we reference in this podcast episode.

Blessings and greetings from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic! I'm a 41-year-old Christian, single woman. I went through depression 6 years ago after my last relationship. I also looked for help with Christian psycologists and psychiatrists. I'd love to marry and have kids someday but I'm afraid that I have another breakup and rejection from a nice man. What is your advice for me about that? Have a very nice day!

As a girl who desires marriage so much but is feeling called to enter a season of closed singleness, I am super encouraged by this. Love what you guys had to say and how the Lord shines through you both individually and in your marriage. 🤍

Aww piper this means so much to hear! So glad you felt encouraged by this. Proud of you for choosing intimacy with the Lord and setting aside this season to grow with him! You will see that the reward will farrr out weigh what it costs you, but the lord does not discount the feelings of sacrifice and loss that come with that. Bless you!

i have always been really sceptical of the whole “season of singleness” message within the church but for the first time ever i feel God calling me into a season to just be by myself and to seek Him and His plans for my life outside of a relationship. this video has been amazing to listen to and has affirmed what i feel like God is speaking to me! new sub and excited to watch your videos ❤ God bless y’all.

@@ALittleMoreCourage Firstly, thank you for your kind response! I am currently watching your “Godly friends” video as that is something i have been praying about as well! I personally would love to hear more on the scriptures that got you through your seasons of singleness and how you got the courage to choose God every day. If you’ve already talked about this please let me know which videos! But thanks again ❤️

Great info! I think God uses singleness in many peoples lives, including my own, to make us satisfied in Him alone. I think as Christians we need to come to an understanding that whatever happens to us in this life it is only temporary. Unfulfilled desires in this life will be nothing in comparison to heaven. That hope of heaven should give us joy and give us the courage and the will to do whatever God calls us to do. I think that the hope of heaven can help us become satisfied in Christ alone.

Ah I’m so thankful for you! I have been thinking about setting apart a year for closed singleness, but was too scared to do it. But know I know for sure:) excited to go on dates with Jesus haha! I would love it if you would talk about what this season looked like for you. God bless you both🤎

Wow! God is so cool. The season was really hard for me at first! It was tough to not create deep emotional connections with women because I was so used to doing that. I was used to always thinking about dating someone so it took time to reframe my mind to focus more on Jesus and give him the thought space. I was able to press way more into community and ministry and pursue passions because I just had a lot more free time with not dating anyone. I also met with some awesome mentors and went through an online ministry school! - Jack
