As a Christian who never married and has grown old I think one of the most annoying things I hear from ministries is that long term singleness is far easier than it really will ever be. It might partly be to make themselves feel better about someone else’s painful situation that they want nothing to do with. Lifelong Christian singleness is very difficult for many reasons and I don’t like when others try to dismiss the suffering .
Yes it is frustrating that married people dismiss the struggles of older, long-term singles. They glibbly tell them they don't need a spouse because God is all you need!
@@hamilton9651 I grew up late 80s early 90s with the church purity movement that taught a lot of young people to “wait” and stay “pure” and find something else to do while you wait. Of course there was nothing in this movement just like today actually helping Christians to get married and start their own families. It’s very easy to wast your most precious youthful years with someone else’s ideas of what you should be doing with your life. By the time I realized I should have been building my own life and following my own path in life I was middle aged and marriage now seems impossible. This is the short story but yes I feel it was imposed on me.
The sad truth is that the CMP’s (aka Clueless Married People) in the church, especially those in leadership roles, have no compassion for the singles because they themselves do not have to walk it out & live it on a day to day basis. Their advice is much like having a well fed person telling a starving person that food is no big deal & that they should stop idolizing food & simply be content.
I feel the same i’am 29 and I know most likely hopefully Iam wrong I will never be able to satisfy them in marriage or outside because I don’t want to sin against Jesus on purpose
Just keep praying and going to God, understand the evil doors and access that it allows the enemy into your life when you continue with this sin. I dont say that to depress or acare you. After 25 yrs, ive been freed this yr. Knowing that demons amd enemy has strong holds over the sex workers and people that we lust after. He always tries to keep us in bondage through sin…trust the Lord always. Im so thankful for victory and no desire for it, God bless
i was a virgin girl until 24 i waited patiently on the Lord to send me a godly man to marry but I was tired of waiting and my body was punishing me every month with excruciating physical pain and emotional pain so i gave in and I did it before marriage with my boyfriend. Unfortunately the relationship didn’t end in marriage but at least my body calmed down and i didn’t have as much pain as i did as a virgin.

This is nice but as a single Christian It seems like know one will talk about what do I do with sexual urges that come all the time. Praying for them to go away makes it worse 😢 and there’s no Christian women anywhere. Well at lest in my age group. It seems like there’s no way out because the Bible says no and I want to do right by god.
I really looked into it, and surgery does not solve it. Unfortunately, it's not only hardwired into multiple parts of the body but also the brain as well. There is no good solution.
Sexual desire is from God. It is natural. Lust is not natural. Use your urges to motivate you to get something done and thank the Lord that He made you with a functional body.

I'm married and I have less sex now than when I was single!
Am 38 and struggled w urges since was a kid. Overwhelmed w guilt from still having sexual sin/masturbation as a single Christian. Grieves me
