You are aware that Gem Mint gets free books from Marvel right? Also, I think you need to take some grammar classes because this message was pretty funny and incomprehensible at the same time. With the fact that the comics have been out for 28-29 years (dependant on the issue), there's no reason for a spoiler warning. Also, he didn't give any real spoilers to the story. He only said parts of it. There's a plot twist in the middle of the story arc, enemies' and allies' ties are tested, and even certain enemies are targets. The covers of each issue have spoilers. For example, the following is the card list that came in the polybags (and yes, I have the full set).

Thanks for your wonderfully informative video Omar. You've waded through a lot of details for us. I have been buying some X-Men: Milestones books and knew this was coming. However I found the TPB version of your OHC at Sydney Comicon and went with that one.
One of the best things I like in your videos is you giving us the issue content. It helps me make sense of it all. It's annoying when I find a collected edition and someone has carelessly put a big price sticker over those details on the back cover or worse, it's not on the back cover at all. You've given the words 'mapped out' a whole new meaning to me lol.

As for Marvel, why create a Milestone series when they could've just reprinted the OHC?
I'm hoping they release the OHC again sometime soon.
The reason they printed the Milestone was the same as a video game getting a Greatest Hits. It's to help with celebrating the product and getting more people interested in the item.
I was one of those monsters that bought 2 copies, one to read and one to save to keep it mint. Still want that ohc of x-cutioner’s song. This was my x-men comics growing up.

You can find the OHC on ebay for between 30-60 bucks I scored a copy for 35 shipped.

We also have hte Shattershot OHC coming next week which fits right between X-Cutioner's Song and Fatal Attractions. Looking back at Omar's X-men collected edition reading order, he said he expected the Shattershot issues to eventually be included in an omni (this was prior to the Shattershot OHC solicitation).
I have no clue if I should start buying some of these in OHC (particularly whether to buy X-Cutioner's Song & Shattershot OHCs), or if I want to wait for releases in omni format. X-Cutioner's Song OHC is still pretty cheap on ebay but Bishops Crossing, Fatal Attractions & Phalanx are super expensive.

Yeah when I saw what these X-Factor and X-Force Epics contained when they were announced I was like damn that is going to confuse some people, especially being released so close together, PLUS the Milestones edition TPB. Glad I have had my OHC of this crossover since release.

I still got all those books, that was one of my favorite X stories, i remember going to the comic shop once a week to get the next issue, love the 90s.

I have that second white tpb with just Stryfe on the cover laying around somewhere. I called out of work today, so I may make that my mission to tear the place up looking for that seeing as how it's not on the bookshelf.

I will start reading Uncanny X-Men Epics at the beggining of Chris Claremont's run. I was wondering how the events would be collected and I think your video answers my questions. Basically all the events are collected in the Milestones tpb. Also the full event can be collected in Epic format if it is especially relevent to a specific title. Otherwise the Epic will collect only the issues from the main title and a synopsis will be included.

From the list of issues I've seen on web sites, it looks like The X-Force Epic collection is missing Uncanny #297, which is considered part of the event, I think.
At any rate, I've decided on the X-Men Milestones edition

This particular one is filled with the crossover, but man issue 19 and the two Cable issues are freaking brilliant.

I love this crossover. It was the one that really got me into xmen along with the fox tv show. There are so many elements in here that tie to prior storylines from before I started reading. I had read Days of Future Past before this, but this is what really made me a fan. The writers were literally telling the reader Cable is the original and Stryfe is the Clone but the characters in - story it seemed were not permitted to vocalize it. The connections between Cable, Stryfe, Cyclops, Jean, Sinister and Apocalypse were dangled over the X-Men and readers' heads during the whole thing but kept just out of reach. It was great. I still have the white paperback with Scott, Jean and Stryfe on the cover.
Only Omar can possibly keep straight all of these complexities and character and story run dynamics !
And can confuse people further. :)
I lucked out (just recently) someone sold me the X-cutioners OHC still in shrinkwrap, and I have the deadpool /XF omni. I think I'll get the X-factor epic coll. you showed here.

Hey Near Mint. I hope you can help me with something. For the longest time, I only knew of the 12 part series. I didn't know about Cable: Blood and Metal, Uncanny X-Men #297, X-Force #19 or New Warriors #31 being a part of the series until a couple years ago. As it is, I missed The New Warriors #31 and X-Force #19 until this month. Where does New Warriors #31 fit into the Epilogue set? Is it before both The Uncanny X-Men #297 and X-Force #19? In between? Or after?
Also to note is a critique on the fact that this compilation omits The Uncanny X-Men #297 "Song's End".
hey omar how are you ? hope well ! after talking to you last time I have desided to get the x force books. i ordered the x song epic last night so I could get this one off Amazon for cheaper cause I already have the milestone. i will have to order vol 1 on Thursday when my order comes in. if ur wondering which books new mutants vol 1 and 2. I ordered vol 6 2 days ago from Amazon so I could have that volume when I'm done reading the inferno books. I am trying to read all the volumes and milestones and extra books in order. keep up the good work and thank you for all the entertainment and stay safe.

@@NearMintCondition what I did with the milestones is place them in between the epics where they belong in the store line and once I have all the epics once released I will keep them that way I can read the events with out switching between books and then when I'm done reading them I can continue the epics from where those issues left off.
What's interesting is the X-Force and Deadpool & X-Force omnis don't collect the whole event which I find kinda strange like they should. Means though I have the omnis I'll probably grab this epic (I was gonna anyway since I collect all the epics) and pass on the Milestones.
It's not in the X-men omnis either.

From what I'm seeing the X-force version leaves out uncanny x-men #297, whereas the other versions have that included. I wonder if that's a mistake or why that would be the case.
Probably because that's more of a set up for Gen X.

Off topic, but did that Spider-Man cosmic epic just sell out again? Looks like these second print runs are either super small, or this is just strangely the most popular Spider-Man arc ever.
They are small reprints and as I've mentioned they are only available at comic store or places like CGN.
Hi Omar, I have a big question! What his the format that enhances the art the most? I'm not talking about the size, but mostly about the colors and the lines. Which does a better work of showing the colors and the lines? The OHC, the epic or the milestone?
I would go for the OHC. Big art and the paper really makes the art pop out.

is it correct that the executioners song OHC fits right between the two x-force omnibus, becuse thats how i thought it mapped out. Everytiem is see a video of yours on epic collections i wish i got into them instead of omnis that chronological order and the issue maping is awsesome and theyre actually printing them all and even reprints!!
That is correct. The OHC goes between both omnis.

What's the difference between the epics and the milestones?
The milestones contain the entire events.
So basically if I want the x-cutioners song the epic x-force is the way to go with out getting HC and not breaking the bank with the way oop books are going but yet has what I'm looking for?..
