That’s what makes og db, not many stakes till red ribbon army and demon king piccolo and even then, red ribbon army didn’t feel strong in og db, it didn’t take till demon king piccolo. People have to remember this is more similar to og db than dbz.
Don't forget Goku, is still powerful, he maybe a kid now but he beat frieza, frieza was at like 1million power level on namek and he was feared literally everywhere in the universe. After Goku beat frieza he only grew stronger and stronger. Some random Gorilo will not stand a chance against a warrior like Goku who already had like 100 close to death battles.
I don't know if Goku can currently handle those transformations, but we will see. To fight against the Tamagami, Goku will need SSJ2 since apparently they are even stronger than Dabura.

I like the art style and I like that it's more dragon ball. The super saiyan transformation was given due respect. I think the art director is a fan from way back and know what to give us. That said, the story is a bit soft, slow paced and meh. I loving waking up Saturday morning (Australia) and watching it. It's like I'm a kid again :)

Given the fight Glorío is far weaker than a full power frieza, given it's a few months after defeating buu, Goku Max power at base was 100,000,000 at buu and frieza full power was 120,000,000, now Goku only used super Saiyan to test that he could as a kid and second because shin asked him to go more serious, base would've been enough given this glorío is way weaker then a full power frieza
Kaioken takes a tool on the body. Super Saiyan form is a form of energy which takes a tool on the emotional and ki control.. Vegata said in cell saga that he becomes more brutal and blood thirsty in super Saiyan form . So technically ssj form is a better choice
To me it feels like dragon ball daima is replacing dragon ball GT and will be considered canon. The premise is similar to dragon ball gt with goku as a kid but we are getting more of the other realm and more backstory with the Kai’s. Very interesting to see. I’m excited to keep watching and seeing what else they’ll make canon here.
Don't think Dragon Ball ever had big things at stake, even DBZ didn't have it like other 'serious anime' has. I think it's because you can wish back characters with Shenron and so, no 'goodguy' really dies in the Dragon Ball universe. It's not comparable with let's say Death Note or Gundam IBO, where characters really die and that will impact the rest of the story. Dragon Ball is a shonen-action-fantasy anime with also lots of children as a fanbase so there will never be real threats or sad moments, the writer(s) simply never chooses this route and I don't think it really matters for Dragon Ball and those genre of anime.
You can't have those high stakes, Life or death fights. When in the background the dragon balls are still there. If someone dies, OK. bring him back in a year. That's why I liked the second half of gt. The dragonballs becoming corrupted from overuse and becoming demons meant you can't use them till the foe is defeated. If we want stakes in dragon ball again, they need to heavily nerf dragon balls or make them extremely inaccessible.
What? Killing Dende and Goku, who is the only one who can easily reach New Namek, would be enough to create high stakes situations. Also, Dragon Ball Z onwards constantly had these high stakes since the enemies were capable of destroying the planet or even worse. Had they won, it would'ev rendered Dragon Ball useless without the planet or anyone to gather it.
Glorio isn't evil. He works for Arinsu, who plots something against Goma, so we still don't know what is her plan and therefore don't know does it benefit our heroes or not
It’s still only episode 6 historically dragon ball has never had high stakes this early in so I’m not bothered I’m having fun with all of it It’s an adventure but the real threats will come as they always do, I wouldn’t be suprised if we got all the way to like episode 20+ before the real action starts ramping up.
Everything in this post is wrong. Goku literally died the first 5 episodes of DBZ. The stakes didn’t start dropping until the buu saga. Daima only has 20 episodes total. There’s nothing after that unless they continue the series. We’re almost halfway and this isn’t exciting.
@@CrownxMe7i literally just re watched dbz and no he didn’t starting all the way back before even Raditz appeared the series took dozens of episodes before true enemies began picking up gas going even further back into original dragonball and you’ll see a pattern.. so no I’m not wrong the real stakes generally crop up 20+ in now if Diama is projected to only have 20 episodes then understandably I can understand some frustrations but then again that makes it fairly short for a dragon ball legacy and there fore I take it as more of a fun side quest than something serious like super and z and the like.. I’d be mad if they treated super season 2 like this but there is no reason to believe diama was ever ment to be as plot rich as the main series

Kaioken takes a toll on his bodu even if it's for a short fight and besides,he didnt confirm whether or not he could still pull it off in kid form.
Kaioken takes a tool on the body. Super Saiyan form is a form of energy which takes a tool on the emotional and ki control.. Vegata said in cell saga that he becomes more brutal and blood thirsty in super Saiyan form . So technically ssj form is a better choice

To me it feels like dragon ball daima is replacing dragon ball GT and will be considered canon. The premise is similar to dragon ball gt with goku as a kid but we are getting more of the other realm and more backstory with the Kai’s. Very interesting to see. I’m excited to keep watching and seeing what else they’ll make canon here.

Don't think Dragon Ball ever had big things at stake, even DBZ didn't have it like other 'serious anime' has. I think it's because you can wish back characters with Shenron and so, no 'goodguy' really dies in the Dragon Ball universe. It's not comparable with let's say Death Note or Gundam IBO, where characters really die and that will impact the rest of the story. Dragon Ball is a shonen-action-fantasy anime with also lots of children as a fanbase so there will never be real threats or sad moments, the writer(s) simply never chooses this route and I don't think it really matters for Dragon Ball and those genre of anime.

You can't have those high stakes, Life or death fights. When in the background the dragon balls are still there. If someone dies, OK. bring him back in a year.
That's why I liked the second half of gt. The dragonballs becoming corrupted from overuse and becoming demons meant you can't use them till the foe is defeated.
If we want stakes in dragon ball again, they need to heavily nerf dragon balls or make them extremely inaccessible.
What? Killing Dende and Goku, who is the only one who can easily reach New Namek, would be enough to create high stakes situations.
Also, Dragon Ball Z onwards constantly had these high stakes since the enemies were capable of destroying the planet or even worse.
Had they won, it would'ev rendered Dragon Ball useless without the planet or anyone to gather it.
Glorio isn't evil. He works for Arinsu, who plots something against Goma, so we still don't know what is her plan and therefore don't know does it benefit our heroes or not

It’s still only episode 6 historically dragon ball has never had high stakes this early in so I’m not bothered I’m having fun with all of it It’s an adventure but the real threats will come as they always do, I wouldn’t be suprised if we got all the way to like episode 20+ before the real action starts ramping up.
Everything in this post is wrong. Goku literally died the first 5 episodes of DBZ. The stakes didn’t start dropping until the buu saga.
Daima only has 20 episodes total. There’s nothing after that unless they continue the series. We’re almost halfway and this isn’t exciting.
@@CrownxMe7i literally just re watched dbz and no he didn’t starting all the way back before even Raditz appeared the series took dozens of episodes before true enemies began picking up gas going even further back into original dragonball and you’ll see a pattern..
so no I’m not wrong the real stakes generally crop up 20+ in now if Diama is projected to only have 20 episodes then understandably I can understand some frustrations but then again that makes it fairly short for a dragon ball legacy and there fore I take it as more of a fun side quest than something serious like super and z and the like.. I’d be mad if they treated super season 2 like this but there is no reason to believe diama was ever ment to be as plot rich as the main series

6:16 well its kid goku and a bunch of kid characters. the show is aimed at little kiddies and has a very light hearted tone. not the dark one like in the majin vegeta arc or android cell buu arcs so its gonna be not exciting
