As you can see in the video, I know Puto Bumbong usually in purple because of "pirurutong" but since I'm in Korea I thought that is a variety of Puto Bumbong which is white(green). But after I see many people saying it looks more like Suman, I started to notice that it is😭😭I'm really sorry for errors I made in the video. After I start to introduce Filipino food/culture to my friends, I've been always trying my best to study about the food and the culture in advance because I really want my friends know about the Philippines correctly! I lived in philippines for 4 years and i tasted all of these Do koreans have graham cake as well? The second food is actually "Suman", not Puto Bumbong. Personally, I like to dip Suman in sugar as I eat it. Puto Bumbong is purple in color and it has brown sugar and coconut on top of it.

Simbang Gabi is also called Misa de Gallo (Rooster's Mass) which I think is more accurate because "Simbang Gabi" were and still are originally held before sunrise or during the roosters woke you up with their noise. This is to accomodate farmers at that time who wake up too early for work if I am not mistaken. In Pampanga, particularly in Angeles City, Bibingka and Puto Bumbong is served with Chocoláte Batirol, a local chocolate with peanuts.

As a filipino living in province we actually eat bibingka and suman (the puto bumbong in the vid) quite often sometimes for breakfast paired with coffee and locals sometimes have their own versions of bibingka which is really interesting and yummy!
It's a good natural aroma with the leaf of banana with coconut hhhmmm so good ...its a classic dessert in Philippines...thank you so much to all ....God bless you all..

A gelatinous violet powdered rice cake put in a small bamboo and steamed it to cook. It is serve with a spread of of butter, topped with grated coconut and a teaspoon of sugar. It is best eaten while its hot and with a a cup of hot ginger tea. Give it a try guys!

I like bibingka 100%!!! The puto bumbong you showed looks like "suman" since it's wrapped in banana leaves and because it's not purple. It's pretty much the same I guess other than the process they were cooked.😅
yes that's suman . Puto Bumbong has only one color, Purple.

As a filipino living in province we actually eat bibingka and suman (the puto bumbong in the vid) quite often sometimes for breakfast paired with coffee and locals sometimes have their own versions of bibingka which is really interesting and yummy!
You can add or sprinkle shreded coconut and brown sugar or shreded coconut with cheese or shreded coconut, condense milk and cheese....
