John, the point is to show that ballpoint pen can be an Art tool like any other medium ( cause some say otherwise). And have a good fun making it :)

Allan Barbeau i dont understand you artists. Like I seen some awesome ass drawings before, but this is BEYOND surreal. Like Absolutely fkin' crazy to the
1000 degree of the fuckin Universe X Infinity and back time 900000000 +10. After watching this if you told me there was a such thing as Negative Zero, I'd believe you without a shadow of a doubt and realize with negative zero you discovered how to bend time and space. Because what I just fkin witnessed right now looked like a goddamn photograph. And I seen people sit with their drawings out and I'd actually stop and buy it if I had the cash, but this, this just goes beyond everything I just said. Easily put, saying this drawing was absolutely fking Amazing. Saying everything I said does no justice on explaining how impressed I am. Can you do one of Don Rickles? One of the best comedians of our times. I just wish would do ANYTHING to have your skills including getting unlaid all the times I got laid become a Virgin again, just to have your skillz. UNREAL!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for the weird ass comment, but a normal comment couldn't be used at an un normal video. I say Un normal because as I'm trying to express, it looks like you pulled out your camera and took a picture of Johnny Depp, your drawing does not look like a drawing it looks like a photograph lmfao. So unreal.

This is perhaps the single most realistic drawing I've ever seen! I can't believe my eyes right now. I guess pens are the best alternative to electronic printers as they both use ink, but to have the precision of a printer... That's simply amazing! Hats off, my friend. My mind is blown.

I see people going that this is not art. Well i probably could agree with you, i see where you're comming, but as someone who does things like this guy (just with graphite pencils) I can also say this: lots of famous painters had mostly worked with actual landscapes and people. The best teacher is mother nature in which humans are included as well. It's a form of studying. And it helps to understand the light, colors and textures better. It's much easier to create something of your own when you have all that knowledge in you. I personally call it "study artwork". Art is suposed to awake one's feelings and emotions right?. This kind of stuff may not awake a viewers feelings, but it is a release of them for me personally and maybe for a lot of others who do stuff like this. It takes a lot of emotional energy and attachment to start and finish a portrait like this. It gets you frustrated when u cannot get something right, angry if you mess it up and happy, when you have that amazing result staring back at you. Art isn't just about the viewer but the creator as well. It doesn't have to be a one way road. ANd i don't think it is supposed to be.

Hello I’m new to this medium! I’ve been drawing with graphite for a while and I want to start pen drawing. Do you have any tips for me to get smooth shading, highlights, shadows, and realistic hair and features? I keep asking people and they never respond. I tried doing this but my shading looked like scribbles and lines. Can you help me out please? Thanks and this is amazing!

Hi, just wondering what pens you used- as in brands, colours etc?? Or even ones that you would reccommend? This method looks amazing and I want to trial it for myself :)

Beyond amazing. what was the tool that looked like a pen that you used to blend with at the beginning?

Thanks !! No blending tool. Every pen you see are just ... pen :) One of them looks bigger cause it's a 4 colours pen. You know, with retractable cartridge .
